In I Can't Live Without You, Carlos is mostly a nice guy who cares for his wife and children, but his work, fear, and insecurities have made him a slave to work calls, messages, and emails. He has to be updated about everything that's going on in the firm, or he might miss out on something important.

Despite being vigilantly attentive at work, he misses out on truly being out with family. And because the phone comforts him, he buys the latest model after Adele leaves him. However, the comfort bubble starts to break when he has to talk to his AI chatbot instead of his beautiful wife.

When the phone addict meeting group doesn't see him in a meeting, they decide to check on him, suspecting that he has fallen back into old habits. They come to see him and find that they are right. Carlos finally opens up about his mistakes and realizes his love for Adela. The group motivates him to get her back, which he does in the most filmy climax spots - the Airport.

Yes, Carlos makes a big apology at the airport, promising that it's her that he can't live without, not his phone.
