The supposed 2025 remake of The Land Before Time has recently garnered attention on social media. Fans believed a remake was on the cards after seeing a viral poster that had a 3D-rendered Littlefoot, Cera, and Ducky.
The poster, shared on Facebook by a user, YODA BBY ABY on November 15, 2024, had the headline "LAND BEFORE TIME COMING IN JANUARY!!!" It portrayed a stunning new 3D animated film with the iconic characters on a new adventure. The alleged remake was called a "timeless tale of friendship and courage," aimed at kids and families.
The post by YODA BBY ABY read:
"Journey back to the age of dinosaurs with The Land Before Time, roaring into cinemas this January 2025. Disney’s magical remake brings Littlefoot, Cera, and their lovable friends to life like never before, blending breathtaking animation with heartwarming adventure."
It further stated:
"Perfect for kids and families, it’s a timeless tale of friendship and courage that will have audiences laughing, cheering, and dino-dancing together."
However, there has been no official announcement from Disney or Pixar about a remake. Despite the popularity of a 3D film, the poster appears to be a fan creation.
The poster of The Land Before Time's remake is fan-made and fake
While many fans may be hoping for a remake, there’s no confirmation from Disney or Pixar that such a project is in development, let alone set for a 2025 release.
Fans should limit their expectations and realize that social media rumors and fan-made content do not always reflect actual projects in production.

Looking back at The Land Before Time, the 1988 film
The Land Before Time, directed by Don Bluth, came out in 1988. It's about Littlefoot, a young brown Apatosaurus whose mother is killed by a hungry Tyrannosaurus rex.
Littlefoot sets out on a journey to find the legendary Great Valley, which is said to be safe from natural disasters and dangerous animals. He meets Cera, Ducky, Petrie, and Spike along the way. They are also young dinosaurs who have been separated from their families.
They have to deal with both external and internal problems during their adventure. For example, Cera doesn't want to work with others at first. The group learns important lessons about trust, working together, and following your heart.
At the end of the movie, all the characters meet up with their families again in the Great Valley, which represents hope and the strength of sticking with something even when it gets hard.
