1) Autumn Reeser as Juniper
Autumn Reeser plays the role of Juniper, a woman soon to be forty, who works as a book editor, but is unsatisfied with her job. Eventually one night, she encounters her eight-year-old self, who makes her remember her long-forgotten dream of becoming a writer.
Reeser first got major recognition with her role as Taylor Townsend, in The O.C. She went on to have appearances in other series such as No Ordinary Family, HBO comedy series Entourage, and The Arrangement. Reeser has also made film appearances in The Wedding Viel TV Movie franchise but is best known for her role as Carly Candlewood in The Legend of La Llorona (2022).
2) Aaron O'Connell as Alex
Aaron O'Connell plays the role of Alex, the charming man whom Juniper meets. Alex, unlike Juniper, isn't afraid to follow what his heart wants. He had followed his childhood dreams, worked hard, and achieved them.
Aaron O'Connell is the son of the football player Marl O'Connell, who played for the Cincinnati Bengals. Aaron is most popular for his role as Wyatt Cryer in the TV series The Haves and the Have Nots.
He additionally has credits for other TV movies such as Made for Each Other (2023), With Love, Christmas (2017), Blending Christmas (2021) and Candy Coated Christmas (2021).
3) Mila Jones as Junebug
Mila Jones takes up the role of Junebug, the eight-year-old little girl who once wanted to write her own stories. She is the forgotten childhood self of Juniper, who one day magically appears in her life. She comes into Juniper's life when she is almost on the verge of forgetting her dreams, reminding her not to give up on what the heart says.
Mila Jones is a Canadian child actress who started appearing in television commercials at the age of 2. Jones had made a guest appearance as Esme in Supergirl back in 2021. She also appeared in TV movies such as The Picture of Christmas (2021), Monster High: The Movie (2022), and recently in the horror movie Disquiet (2023).
4) Lauren K. Robek as Paula
Lauren K. Robek plays the role of Paula in Junebug. Robek is a Canadian actor, director, and writer who has worked in various movies as well as television series.
Robek has made his appearance on TV series including Dead Boy Detectives (2024), Resident Alien (2022), and Allegiance (2024). She made her recent movie appearance in When Mom Becomes a Murderer (2024).
5) Donia Kash as Mikah
Donia Kash plays the role of Mikah in the movie. Born in Iran, Kash moved to Canada and debuted at 7 years old, working in theater, music videos, and commercials. Kash is known for roles in movies such as Hearts in the Game (2023), A Holiday Sitter (2022), The Secrets of Bella Vista (2022), and recently in Slay (2024).

What is the story of Junebug?
Juniper is a book editor who is soon to hit her forties. She gives her best but knows she wants to do something else. Dealing with the realities of adulthood has almost made her forget about her childhood dreams. She had always wanted to become a writer while growing up.
But one night a miracle happens when her eight-year-old self, appears before her. She is bold, adamant, and passionate about her dreams unlike her older self, who has learned to let things slide and adapt to the situations.
She motivates her to not give up on her dream and start writing again. Eventually, she meets the charming artist Alex, collabs with him, and ends up falling in love.
The story of Junebug showcases a journey of self-discovery, and of never giving up on one's dreams. The movie ends with Juniper fighting back her self-doubt, pursuing her dreams, and eventually finding the love of her life, along the way.
