Warner Bros. Animations and DC animations fifteenth and final chapter in the Tomorrowverse Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3 aired on July 16, 2024. The epic trilogy which began back in January 2024 promising the DCAMU fans the lore of the crisis events in the comics concluded with this latest installment.

The entourage of more than 100 heroes and voice actors used in the film marks a remarkable yet balanced story achieved by Jeff Wamester and James Krieg.

Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3 picks up exactly where its predecessor left it. In the beginning, we see that after Super-girl killed the Monitor, with his last breath the monitor saved the multiverse and all of the remaining parallel earths by sending them to The Bleed.

The final chapter of Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3 delivers by unraveling more sacrifices, deaths, and the revelation of what caused the anti-monitor to start erasing universes from existence.

The Bleed as explained by Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3 is an unstable dimension that exists outside the multiverse. The parallel earth, though hidden from the Anti-Monitor, started to face temporal anomalies which made survival harder.

Lex-Luthor the villainous hero

Lex Luthor leaves his torture of the Psycho Pirate as shown in the last installment and joins the coalition of superheroes to stop the parallel earth from being destroyed. Once they kill the Anti-Monitor, they can then return to the Multiverse in peace.

Lex admits, however, that he used his prisoner to contact the Anti-Monitor and sold out the locations of some realities. Luthor, however, set things up so that he and the other heroes could observe and capture information.

Using this data, Lex pitches the plan that Superman could absorb the energy from all 52 suns in the Bleed. He could become a super-bomb, and blow the Anti-Monitor up from the inside.

While the other members of the coalition fight with him and damage his armor to give him an opening to strike and make direct contact with the anti-monitor for a greater chance of success.

After Luthor’s plan to turn Superman into a Kryptonian bomb, supergirl stops her cousin from becoming his tool and insists that she should be the one who should go in his place.

This emotion from her comes out as she blames herself for killing the monitor and taking a big fighting chance away from the coalition. Supergirl successfully kills the anti-monitor and gives the team a necessary win.

The showrunner created the iconic crisis page from the comic showing Kara dying in Kal-El’s hand as he cradles her.

The Death of Wonder Woman was the most important sacrifice in the whole trilogy. After J’onn uses Nightshade to teleport the Miracle Machine which was featured in 2023’s Legion of Super-Heroes, they find out the machine needs a sacrifice to work. Wonder Woman gives her aura and life to the machine and dies a warrior's death.

At the conclusion of this installment, we find out the real reason for the crisis that’s been happening, this dates back to Justice League: Apokolips War. The movie ended with the flash being sent by John Constantine to reset reality by changing the past after Darkseid destroys the earth and slays the Justice League.

Constantine asked Barry to reset reality by killing Darkseid when he was a year old. But he knew that Barry did not have it in him to kill anybody. Hence, Constantine put a spell on Barry's back without telling him, making Barry a plague that killed Darkseid.

After Darkseid's death, they realize that he is a pillar for all realities and must exist as he is the antithesis of good. Due to his death, the DCAMU separated into a multiverse and kept on increasing into endless universes.

The Anti-Monitors were created as a method of stopping this split by showing them as an antibody to stop the unlimited and exponential growth.

The coalition figured out that the only way to stop this was to create a Prime Universe where Darkseid would once again exist and all the heroes have to merge into a single prime version.
