As part of its Ripped From the Headlines summer lineup, Lifetime brings its viewers Amish Affair, which is set to premiere on July 6, 2024. The plot of the movie follows a secret romance that brews between a charismatic Amish leader, Aaron, and his help, Hannah, whom he had appointed to assist him in taking care of his ailing wife.

A spark ignites between the two during Hannah's stay, but when Aaron's wife dies under suspicious circumstances, she's framed for murder. Mackenzie Cardwell as Hannah

American actor Mackenzie Cardwell is known for her starring roles in Upload (2020), Little Fish (2020) and Unspeakable (2019). She also had notable roles in Animal Control, Fire Country, Death of a Cheerleader, Last Night in Suburbia, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From the Heart and Supernatural.

In Amish Affair, Cardwell plays the lead role of Hannah, a help who falls for her charismatic Amish employer who hires her to help take care of his ailing wife. Soon Hannah realises that shes' in trouble when her employer's wife passes away under mysterious circumstances, making her the prime suspect.

Ryan McPartlin as Aaron

Ryan McPartlin was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He's an actor and producer, who is best known for his works in Chuck (2007), L.A.'s Finest (2019) and Hunter Killer (2018).

McPartlin plays Aaron, the charismatic leader of an Amish community, who is left alone to deal with his ailing wife in Amish Affair. Unable to take care of her all by himself, Aaron hires Hannah, a help, to assist him with his wife. Soon, he develops feelings for Hannah and starts an affair with her.

"Hannah (Mackenzie Cardwell) moves in with a charismatic Amish leader, Aaron (Ryan McPartlin), to help with his ailing wife.

"Seeking refuge after leaving her Amish community, Hannah is grateful to Aaron and his wife for opening their home to her and giving her work but as she tends to her household chores, the spark between her and Aaron is undeniable.

The plot continues:

"Hannah knows their secret relationship has them both living in sin, so she decides to end it but when Aaron’s wife suspiciously dies, she finds herself framed for murder and fighting to prove her innocence."

Amnish Affair is produced by Muse Entertainment, with Jesse Prupas and Chris Wade serving as executive producers along with actor Ryan McPartlin. The movie is directed by Robin Hays and is scripted by James Phillips.

The movie joins the channel as part of its Ripped From the Headlines summer lineup. It's one of the two true-crime movies that is scheduled to premiere on the channel in July as part of the lineup. The other movie is Sister Wife Murder, which will follow a week later.
