Love Me is an upcoming post-apocalyptic romance film written and directed by Sam and Andy Zuchero. It tells the story of a buoy and a satellite, who meet online many years after the end of human civilization and fall in love with each other. The story explores the themes of love, connection, and consciousness.

A trailer for the film was released on January 2, 2025, and the film will be released in theatres across the United States on January 31, 2025.

Love Me is produced by ShivHans Pictures in association with 2 AM and AgX, while the distribution is under Bleecker Street and ShivHans Pictures. The main cast of the film includes Kristen Stewart and Steven Yeun.


When will Love Me be released?

As mentioned earlier, the postapocalyptic drama film will be released theatrically in the United States on January 31, 2024. It premiered at the US Dramatic Competition at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival on January 19, 2024, where the film won the prestigious Alfred P. Sloan Feature Film Prize for its focus on science and technology themes.

The cosmic love story has intrigued viewers with its unique concept, promising a never-seen-before experience in the theatres. A trailer was released on January 2, 2025, with a description that read:

"Long after humanity’s extinction, a buoy (Kristen Stewart) and a satellite (Steven Yeun) inherit the Earth, and with only the internet as their guide, learn what it means to be alive and in love."

It adds:

In this groundbreaking first feature from Sam and Andy Zuchero, LOVE ME explores AI and identity through live-action, animatronics, and classic animation in an epic tale of connection and transformation."

What is Love Me about?

The film is a unique science-fiction romance that combines the elements of live-action and animation to tell a story set many years after the end of human civilization. It follows Me, a lonely buoy pretending to be a lifeform to attract IAm, a satellite. By pretending to be a human influencer, Deja, Me convinces IAm to be her boyfriend.


Who is in the cast and crew of the film?

The main characters of Me and IAm are played by Kirsten Stewert and Steven Yeun, respectively.

The film is produced by ShivHans Pictures, 2AM, and AgX. Kevin Rowe, Ben Howe, Shivani Rawat, Luca Borghese, and Julie Goldstein, with Daniel Bekerman, Christine D’Souza Gelb, and Connor Flanagan as executive producers.

The married duo Sam and Andy Zuchero have written and directed the project as their directorial debut. Cinematography is headed by Germain McMicking, while Joseph Krings and Salman Handy are the editors. The film features music by David Longstreth.

Talking about the collaboration with the lead pair, the directors told People that Stewart and Yeun were “true collaborators, giving their heart and souls to every frame in Love Me."

"The support they gave to first-time directors fills us with gratitude. We’re forever indebted to these two beautiful artists," they added.
