When does Mickey 17 release in theatres?

Mickey 17 will finally be released in theatres on March 7, 2025. The film has already faced numerous delays in the past with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire taking over its release date of March 25, 2024, as the SAG-AFTRA and writers' strikes were going on at the time. This prompted Warner Bros. Pictures to effectively take it off from its release schedule as well in January 2024.

However, a month later, it was announced that the film would finally be hitting theatres on January 31, 2025. In the same time period, it was also announced that the film would be releasing first in South Korea on January 28, 2025. Unfortunately, in November 2024, the film was then promptly shifted to April 18, 2025.

But then a month later again, the film was brought forward to its current release date of March 7, 2025. However, the film is scheduled to open in South Korea on February 28, 2025.

What is Mickey 17 about?

Mickey 17 is based on Edward Ashton's book Mickey7. The title change is because Mickey dies around six times in the book, while in the film he is set to have 10 more deaths as well. The official synopsis for the film as per Warner Bros. Discovery reads as follows:
