Murder Company is a newly released film, based on true events from World War II. The film was released across select theaters in the USA on July 5, 2024. It has also been made available for purchase or rent through Video-on-Demand services on the same day.

Directed by Shane Dax Taylor, Murder Company is an action thriller film that follows how a regiment of US soldiers smuggled a French resistance member behind the enemy lines in Germany. Their covert mission was to assassinate a German target while knowing the mission would never be acknowledged or recorded.

The official synopsis of the film reads:

"In the midst of the D-Day invasion, a group of US soldiers are given orders to smuggle a member of the French resistance behind enemy lines to assassinate a high-value Nazi target."

Murder Company has been directed by Shane Dax Taylor, known for indie films such as The Grey, Bloodworth, and Isolation.

The film stars William Moseley, Pooch Hall, Gilles Marini, Joe Anderson, and Kelsey Grammer as General Haskel. Jesse Mittelstadt has written the screenplay with the Maverick & Complex releasing the film across theaters and VOD.

British actor William Moseley is best known for his role as Peter Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia trilogy.

He portrays the soldier nicknamed Southern in Murder Company. The character is part of the battalion sent behind enemy lines to carry out a covert mission.

He chatted about his character with the outlet UPI and had the following to say:

"I wanted the audience to feel like this was kind of an innocent guy, the normal guy, probably never left the country, never left his state, was thrown into this completely foreign land and had to find his own strength along the way."

He added that he wanted to play a part in the film to honor his grandfathers who fought in World War II.


2) Kelsey Grammer as General Haskel

Veteran actor Kelsey Grammer plays the role of General Haskel, a battle-hardened American general who devises a plan to take down the Nazi SS general, Erik Ramsey. He has various scenes throughout the film, where he makes his presence felt as he sends the small but fierce troop behind the enemy lines.

Kelsey Grammer is most recognized for his role as Dr. Fraiser Cane on the sitcom Cheers and its spinoff series Fraiser. The Golden Globe Award-winning actor has also acted in films such as X-Men: The Last Stand, The Expendables 3, and Transformers: Age of Extinction among others.


3) Pooch Hall as Coolidge

Pooch Hall plays the role of Coolidge, an American soldier who is sent to smuggle a member of the French resistance and assassinate a devious Nazi soldier. He is a crucial part of the five-member battalion, braving it out against the odds to carry out a high-stakes mission on D-Day.

Pooch Hall has appeared on popular television shows and films such asThe Game, Chuck, and Ray Donovan: The Movie.


4) Gilles Marini as Daquin

French actor Gilles Marini plays the role of Daquin, who is a French resistance member. His character is crucial as he is meant to be rescued by the battalion, and lead them behind German enemy lines to eliminate Ramsey.

Gilles Marini has acted in films and TV shows including Sex and the City, Venus as Boy, and Days of Our Lives.
