1) Maisy Stella as Elliott

Maisy Stella stars as the teenager, Elliott, who gets visited by her 39-year-old self from the future after trying mushrooms for the first time on her 18th birthday.

Maisy is a Canadian singer and actress, who marks her film debut with My Old Ass. Before this, she played Daphne Conrad in ABC's musical television series, Nashville.

2) Aubrey Plaza as the older Elliott

Aubrey Plaza plays the older version of Elliott in the film. She's a PhD student and travels back in time to protect her younger self from falling in love with Chad and getting heartbroken after his death.

Aubrey is best remembered for playing April Ludgate in NBC's sitcom Parks and Recreation, Harper Spiller in The White Lotus and Lenny Busker/Amahl Farouk/Shadow King in the superhero series, Legion. Her other prominent television roles include Rio Vidal/Death in the miniseries Agatha All Along and Cat Adams in Criminal Minds.

Furthermore, she has acted in such films as Edgar Wright's Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Emily the Criminal, Happiest Season, Ingrid Goes West, The To Do List, Life After Beth, Black Bear, etc.

3) Percy Hynes White as Chad

Percy Hynes White plays Elliott's college boyfriend, Chad. The two meet during her summer vacation before college and have a loving relationship that lasts several years until Chad's death.

Percy has appeared in the psychological thriller film Edge of Winter and the fantasy comedy film, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. He also starred in Tiffany Paulsen's romantic drama Winter Spring Summer or Fall, the 2016 family drama Milton's Secret and Grant Harvey's A Christmas Horror Story.

Percy's television credits include Murdoch Mysteries, Pretty Hard Cases, The Gifted, Between, The Slattery Street Crockers and many others. Recently, he starred as the psychic Xavier Thorpe in Tim Burton's supernatural series, Wednesday.

4) Maddie Ziegler as Ruthie

Maddie Ziegler plays Elliott's best friend, Ruthie. She and Elliott along with their other friend, Ro, go camping overnight on Elliott's 18th birthday.

Maddie rose to prominence by appearing in the reality series Dance Moms from 2011 to 2016. Furthermore, she played Eiffel in the Nickelodeon series, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn and young Deb in the Lifetime series, Drop Dead Diva.

Maddie first worked with Megan Park in her feature film debut, The Fallout in 2021. Her other film credits include Steven Spielberg's West Side Story, Molly McGlynn's comedy drama Fitting In, and the singer-songwriter Sia's 2021 musical drama, Music.
