Netflix's documentary film The Menendez Brothers, has once again sparked discussions about the infamous brother duo who were also the subject of the recently released Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story on the platform. However, in contrast to the effect of Murphy's docuseries, this film shifts the discussion toward different unexplored facets of the brothers' lives.
The film has got people to specifically converse about the s*xual abuse allegations, which claim that the brothers were abused by their parents for years which pushed them into killing them. Some are also talking about a few people who appear in the documentary and make insensitive remarks about the brothers, including dismissing their allegation claims.
One such person is Pamela Bozanich, who was a prosecutor when the Menendez brothers' trial first began. She appears in the film and subtly insinuates that the Menendez brothers lied about their abuse. She also badmouths the TikTok generation alleging that they are the reason for the public's renewed interest in the brothers' case.
Additionally, she also threatens the TikTokers against "messing" with her by saying that she is armed and has guns all over her house. All these combined statements have enraged people online who are sharing their views on X, formerly Twitter.
"She was soooo annoying, I wanted to skip all of her parts in the doc," wrote one user.
"She had the nerve to threat random people and still believes she’s better than leslie and the brothers when she literally admited she is capable of killing too, big difference is she is only reading comments on tiktok meanwhile the brothers lived YEARS of abuse," wrote another user.
"You can tell she’s still bitter that she didn’t win the case. To sit there and say it was all made up and then threaten the people who believe them and want justice for them? I so wanted to skip every time her face showed up," said another user.
People furious over former prosecutor's blatant threat in Netflix's The Menendez Brothers
The Menendez Brothers, released on October 7, 2024, on Netflix, is the latest addition to the list of projects chronicling the infamous brother duo who were convicted and imprisoned for killing their parents, José and Kitty Menendez.
Following the release of the documentary film, people have been quick to take an interest in the brothers' case yet again, but this time from a different angle, from the brothers' point of view.
That being said, among the various topics that have caused outrage online, Pamela Bozanich's comments about the Menendez brothers stand out. In the film, during a discussion, Bozanich expresses her opinions by stating that she thinks TikTok has played an important role in the conversations surrounding the Menendez brothers' case, which she finds difficult to tolerate.

Her complete remark is as follows:
"The only reason we’re doing this special is because of the TikTok movement to free the ‘Menendi.’ If that’s how we’re gonna try cases now, why don’t we just, like, have a poll? You present the faces, everybody gets to vote on TikTok, and then we decide who gets to go home. "
She also added:
“Your beliefs are not facts. They’re just beliefs. And by the way, all you TikTok people, I’m armed. We got guns all over the house. So don’t mess with me.”
Enraged viewers took to X and said the following about her comments.
"This is such an unreasonable & biased take—two things that lawyers specifically are taught *not* to be. really disgusting & absolutely not in the name of justice, said one user.
"Literally an attention seeking narcissist," wrote another.
"She’s so pissed she lost the first trial lol," said another user.
The controversy surrounding Pamela Bozanich's remarks about the Menendez brothers shows no signs of fading away anytime soon. With each moment that passes, negative feedback about the former prosecutor in the Menendez brothers’ trial continues to accumulate, leaving little hope for her redemption.
