Mary, an epic biblical coming-of-the-age movie, tells the story of a young Jewish girl who ultimately becomes a mother to a messiah. Set to release on Netflix on Friday, December 6, 2024, the film features a cast including Noa Cohen, Ido Tako, Anthony Hopkins, Stephanie Nur, and Susan Brown.

Noa Cohen makes her Hollywood acting debut through this Netflix movie portraying the titular character. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, published on October 15, 2024, Caruso revealed that he had auditioned 75 young women to play this role. He found Cohen to have a unique blend of grace and presence, yet appear approachable to audiences.

Cohen is a 22-year-old Israeli model and actress. She has starred in several Israeli shows. Although she is Jewish, the film recently came under controversy for hiring Israeli actors for key roles.
Ido Tako as Joseph
23-year-old Israeli actor Ido Tako also makes his Hollywood acting debut in this film as Joseph. Tako has worked in several Israeli movies and TV shows, such as The Vanishing Soldier, Metukim, and Come Closer.
In this Netflix movie, his character navigates a series of extraordinary circumstances as he battles societal norms, becomes a father to a Messiah, and ultimately falls in love with his courageous wife. He eventually faces face death as he protects his son.
Anthony Hopkins as King Herod
Welsh actor Sir Anthony Hopkins takes on the role of King Herod, a powerful king whose power is threatened by the prophecy of a Messiah. He orders the Massacre of the Innocents, a story in the Nativity in which this king of Judea orders the killing of all male children below two years of age in Bethlehem.
His order forces Mary and Joseph to flee to Egypt to protect their son.
Hopkins is no stranger to Hollywood, having two Oscar awards, four BAFTA, and two Emmy awards under his belt. The 86-year-old prolific actor is known for his roles in The Silence of the Lambs, Nixon, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and The Mask of Zorro and for playing the role of Odin in the Thor movie series.
Stephanie Nur as Salome
Egyptian actress Stephanie Nur plays Princess Salome, the daughter of King Herod, in this movie. Nur has acted in Hollywood, most notably for her role as a Syrian refugee in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3 and Aaliyah Amrohi in the spy thriller show Lioness. She is of Austrian and Syrian descent.
Susan Brown as Anna the Prophetess
Susan Brown portrays Anna the Prophetess, the one who prophesied about Jesus' birth. The veteran actress is best known for her roles in Iron Lady and season 1 of Game of Thrones.
Brown is a widely acclaimed English theatre, TV, and movie actress. The 78-year-old star has been nominated for a Tony award for her work on stage.
Ori Pfeffer as Joachim, Mary's father
