The United States Presidential race is slowly heating up and America Ferrera recently revealed her allegiance in an Instagram video posted on August 1. In the clip, she stands next to Kamala Harris and talks about the various reasons why the Presidential Elections 2025 will be 'the most consequential election in our lifetime.'
“I just wanted to jump on here real quick and make it clear that I am with Kamala,” starts America Ferrera in her Instagram video.
She proceeds to turn the camera towards Kamala and share a giggle with the Vice President herself before regaining her composure to talk about some important topics like the Supreme Court taking away abortion rights for women. Thereafter, she asks Kamala for her message to American women.
“We have power. And we have power in community, we have power in the way we stand with each other, and we have power in our vote. One of the ways we are going to get back to what is right is to make sure we vote people into office who understand this is a fundamental right,” responds Kamala Harris.
The video ends with America Ferrera calling the 2025 elections as one of the most important elections of this generation's lifetime and making sure that people know that her allegiance is to the Democrats. She also implored the people of the United States to cast their vote as 'democracy is on the line.'
The whole Instagram community has reacted to America Ferrera's video and most people have supported the Barbie actress for her stance.
Some of the reactions are as follows:
"america helping save america i know that’s right," commented one user on Instagram.

"Was waiting for her to say, “I’m with America!”," agreed another.
"We are with Kamala!" declared another fan on Instagram.

Some other reactions were as follows:
"Very cool to see her pop up with so many beloved actors like yourself. This is such an important message, and you helped me feel more confident about our future. Thank you both," commented another.
"November 5th I'm voting Harris, we need her as our voice," reacted another netizen.

However, not all reactions were positive as some people also criticized her stance.
"She supports a genocide. No thanks," commented someone on Instagram.
"Love you America. But I will vote for whom I want to vote for. I don't need rich people telling me who and why I should vote for this woman," reacted another.
"UNFOLLOW!!! Why anyone in their right mind vote Blue or vote Harris?! Why?!! Look what has happened and the sick agenda of the blue the last four years? You want more freedom for no values?! Look what happened at the ceremony of the Olympics! That’s what your freedom of liberalism has done! UNFOLLOWED both women and anyone who is pro-abortion! What happened to values! " commented another.

America Ferrera once called out Kamala Harris for her take on migrants

America Ferrera was one of the major critics of US Vice President Kamala Harris when she asked the migrants to not enter the United States during her Guatemala visit as part of her first foreign trip as Vice President in 2021. The 59-year-old further clarified that they would be returned home if they attempted to cross the border in a speech on June 7, 2021.
"I want to emphasize that the goal of our work is to help Guatemalans find hope at home, at the same time I want to be clear to folks in this region who are thinking about making the dangerous trek to the United States-Mexico border -- do not come, do not come," commented Kamala Harris.
The words were met with criticism from America Ferrera who condemned Kamala Harris' words in an interview on The View posted on June 10, 2021. Speaking to co-host Joy Behar, the actress called it a "useless and futile" strategy by Harris and expressed her disappointment over the entire issue.
She discussed the dire conditions faced by Mexican, Honduran, and Guatemalan people trying to cross the border. The actress compared Kamala Harris's remarks to asking a drowning person to stop struggling and embrace death.
“I think that it is our role and our job to elect people and then to hold them accountable. And [Harris] should be held accountable to these comments because they're harmful and they perpetuate a very harmful perspective that really does make immigrants in this country less safe," concluded Ferrera.
America Ferrera's parents are originally from Tegucigalpa, Honduras, and immigrated to the United States in 1970. When she was just seven, her parents got divorced and her father went back to Honduras where he died in 2010.
