Amy Jackson and Ed Westwick's relationship timeline explored as the duo ties the knot in Italy

Ed Westwick tied the knot a second time with fiancee Amy Jackson last weekend in a three-day celebration. On August 9, 2024, the pair initially said I do at a small civil ceremony at the Connaught Hotel in London, followed by a second wedding on Saturday, August 24, on the Amalfi Coast in Italy.

Jackson, a British actress and model who predominantly works in the Indian film industry, told PEOPLE the region was "the perfect place" owing to its "timeless romance and vintage charm." She added:

"We wanted a wedding spot that was not only naturally beautiful, surrounded by the ocean, hills and vineyards, but also unique, and we found just that."

Celebrations began on Friday with a sunset cruise on the Motonave Patrizia. The ceremony itself took place at the historic Castello di Rocca, with Jackson's 4-year-old son, Andreas (with George Panayiotou), serving as Ed Westwick's best man, along with his friend Mike. Westwick told the publication:

"We both wanted (Andreas) to be an integral part of this special moment. He walked down the aisle with me, carried the rings and waited for his mother with me."

They invited 220 guests from across the globe, which included Ed Westwick's Gossip Girl co-star Kelly Rutherford, Daisy Lowe, Jack Whitehall and his partner Roxy Horner, Mohammed Al Turki, and Dr. Barbara Sturm. Per the couple's conversation with PEOPLE, Westwick rocked an Armani tuxedo, while his bride wore a custom-made gown by Italian designer Alberta Ferretti.

On Sunday, the newlywed couple hosted a farewell brunch at the Giardini del Fuenti in Vietri sul Mare.

Jackson first met Westwick at an Aston Martin event on the Silverstone race track in England. Per a 2024 article in Manifest Magazine, while she initially felt a spark, what sealed the deal for her was that Ed, who asked her out for coffee after the event, looked for a dog-friendly cafe to include their pets.

In an October 2023 interview with HELLO! magazine, Ed Westwick elaborated on their meeting:

"We were invited separately to a race day with Aston Martin at Silverstone racetrack in 2021. I was there with a friend who knew her. saw her and thought, ‘I’m going to make my move!’ We chatted for a bit, and I asked her if she wanted to meet me for a coffee."

At the time, the couple never confirmed they were dating but British tabloids shared stories hinting at a possible romance. Rumors escalated in May 2022 when eagle-eyed fans found photos on their respective Instagram that appeared to have been taken at the same spot.

A month later, Amy Jackson and Ed Westwick made their relationship official on Instagram. Jackson's stories from her vacation in Saville, Spain, heavily featured Westwick, and the latter shared a picture of them on a bench. In July 2022, they made their red carpet debut together as a couple at the National Film Awards.

Since then, both have been featured in each other's social media posts and have made appearances together at various events.

In December 2023, Amy shared a photo from their trip to Switzerland, which showed Ed down on one knee, popping the question, with the caption:

"Hell YES."

The happy couple planned for a honeymoon in Kenya, but the plans are on hold as Ed Westwick is set to begin filming his new show Sandokan immediately after the wedding. Jackson jokingly told PEOPLE she wouldn't let the honeymoon slide, adding that having Ed for herself for a week is her first request as Mrs. Westweek.
