American actress Angelina Jolie recently opened up about her current life situation, revealing that she is residing in Los Angeles only due to her ongoing divorce from Brad Pitt.
In a candid interview with The Hollywood Reporter published on August 30, 2024, the actress shared her plans to leave the city and travel the world once her youngest children, 16-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, turn 18.
"I grew up in this town. I am here because I have to be here from a divorce, but as soon as they’re 18, I’ll be able to leave," she said to the outlet.

Angelina Jolie is now 49 and works as an actress, writer, and director. She shared some details of her personal life during the interview. She explained the need to have a private life and expressed her desire for a completely different lifestyle from what her six children; Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and the twin siblings have been exposed to at such a young age. She shared,
"When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety," Jolie explained. "I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be... that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here."
Angelina Jolie shares a strong connection with Cambodia, where she first adopted Maddox in 2002. She said that once she moves out of LA, she intends to spend a lot of time there. She is also eagerly waiting to travel and meet her family wherever they are in the globe.
"I'll spend a lot of time in Cambodia," Jolie shared. "I'll spend time visiting my family members wherever they may be in the world."
