Actress and businesswoman Gwyneth Paltrow has been staying up-to-date on social media trends. On August 24, the actress took to her Instagram and started an ‘Ask me a question’ session. Her fans did not miss the opportunity and asked her whether she was a brat, to which she replied in the affirmative. Another fan then went on to ask,

"We missed you! But a 9pm brat girl right?"

To this, Gwyneth Paltrow wrote,

“Brat as hell until 9pm.”

In the first Instagram story, the actress was seen talking about herself being a brat. The brat phenomenon was revolutionized, after English singer and songwriter Charli XCX dropped her sixth studio album Brat in June. This led to a viral dance trend and a neon green aesthetic.

“Aren't you supposed to say 'I'm brat' or 'Are you brat?' I think my kid said it's that way. And yes, I am so brat. I am so brat it hurts,” Gwyneth Paltrow said.

As per a People report, after the release of her album, Charli XCX took to TikTok a month later to explain what ‘brat’ meant. The term can be used for a girl who is a party fanatic and likes to stay a little messy. A brat can be someone who feels herself but has a breakdown. It seems, that this is the definition that Paltrow agreed on when she said she is a brat till 9 PM.

“You're just like that girl who is a little messy and likes to party and maybe says some dumb things sometimes. Who feels herself but maybe also has a breakdown. But kind of like parties through it, is very honest, very blunt. A little bit volatile. Like does dumb things. But it's brat. You're brat. That's brat,” Charli XCX said.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s son gets a cameo in her Instagram story

The actress has two kids from her previous marriage with Chris Martin, a daughter named Apple and a son, Moses. In the Q&A session, one of her Instagram followers asked whether she had dropped off her kids at college since the follower did the same. Gwyneth Paltrow replied ‘not yet’. After that, she pointed the camera to her son, who said,

“She hasn’t quite gotten rid of me”

Gwyneth Paltrow married Brad Falchuk in 2018. She also has a stepson and stepdaughter, Brody and Isabella, who are Falchuk’s children with his ex-wife Suzanne Bukinik. On March 24, The Times published an interview piece with Paltrow in which she talked about the ‘impending grief’ as her kids were about to set off to college.

“In the fall Brad and I have boys that will be going off to university. It’ll be interesting to see how the morning routine changes with no kids in the house,” Gwyneth Paltrow said.

On August 19, both the actress and her husband were reportedly seen dropping off Brody at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. As per PageSix, Paltrow unloaded cardboard boxes from a car. Reports also say that Moses will attend Brown University in Rhode Island.
