Actor Andrew Garfield and his girlfriend Kate Tomas are no longer together. Philosopher and spiritual mentor Tomas revealed that they broke up "months ago" in an Instagram comment on Saturday, October 11, 2024. A fan, @felipe.reistavares, asked the doctor if she was still dating the actor, writing:
"Are you still dating Andrew Garfield? If so, tell him I'm a fan of him, please. Thank you."
Kate responded:
"@felipe.reistavares we broke up months ago but I'm sure he will be happy to know that he is loved."
Garfield and Tomas were first photographed together during a March 2024 outing together. While the actor did not comment on their relationship then, the latter opened up about it to The Sunday Times in July.

It remains unclear how long the pair were exactly together, but they were reportedly seen together in public for five months.

Andrew Garfield and Kate Tomas first sparked dating rumors in March 2024 when they were spotted together at a Malibu Grocery store. W Magazine reported that the couple was dressed in casual outfits, pairing graphic tees with pants and sneakers. At one point, Garfield put his hand around Tomas.
A week later, the couple walked hand-in-hand during a Malibu outing. They later joined Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham for a double date at Zinqué, a French restaurant in the city. The self-proclaimed spiritual advisor wore a long-sleeve floral dress, while the actor donned a cashmere sweater with cargo pants.
In April 2024, a close source told US Weekly that the bond between Andrew Garfield and Kate Tomas was "fairly new" and the Amazing Spider-Man actor felt "very comfortable" with her. Quoting the source, the publication wrote:
"Andrew really appreciates the fact that Kate is very different from other women he’s dated. He thinks she has a great sense of humor and she’s easy to talk to."
Elle magazine also reported the pair was spotted at Wimbledon on July 14, 2024. In the same month, Tomas was interviewed by The Sunday Times. She addressed the "horrific accusations" against her, claiming she used "magic" to "seduce" Andrew Garfield. The spiritual advisor, who teaches an Authentic Seduction masterclass, denied the claims stating that people who are "really attractive" are full of "charisma."
She even addressed the misogynistic nature of public attention, adding:
"It’s frustrating that no matter how accomplished or impactful a woman is, it’s always going to be more interesting if they are in a relationship with a man. I don’t want to sit under anybody’s shadow."
Tomas explained that the criticism of how a woman dresses or what she does for work is one of the most depressing parts of dating someone in the limelight. She continued:
"(The paparazzi) will take maybe 150 pictures, then they choose the four where you look worst.”
In a July 2024 episode of her podcast The Friday Emails, Tomas said that she was in "love" and "really happy," alluding to her bond with the actor.
Andrew Garfield, on the other hand, has not publicly spoken about his relationship or the breakup.
