"Genuinely the funniest person"— Katey Sagal's son Jackson White announces his father Jack White's passing 

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, July 16, actor Jackson White informed about the death of his father, Jack White. Remembering his father in the post, Jackson shared several pictures of Jack and a video of him playing the drums. In the caption, Jackson wrote about how his father impacted him.

“This guy taught me everything. We had ups and downs, as a man has with their father. But in the end it was just love. He was an open book, a fighter, genuinely the funniest person my sister and I knew, and single handedly invented the loudest most powerful back beat of any drummer I’ve ever seen,” Jackson wrote.

While Jackson did not reveal the cause of Jack’s death, he mentioned that he was “not in pain anymore.”

“He’s not in pain anymore. And we get to remember him, 6 foot 4 with a denim shirt and a Starbucks muffin, driving us around, teaching us every important song ever written. I’m wearing his shoes every day. Not a metaphor he had really cool shoes. Big Jack White. 1954-2024. I love you Dad forever.”

Born in 1954, Jackson White’s father was 70 years old when he died. He was a drummer and an actor who was seen in many movies. As per Entertainment Weekly, Jack White has also been a hockey/skating technical advisor for films like the Mighty Ducks trilogy and Jack Forest.

While Jackson did not provide any information about what caused his father's death, Jack’s ex-wife, Katey Sagal, to whom Jack was married for seven years, commented on Jackson’s post to pay her tribute to the drummer.

"Beautiful Jackson and Beautiful Sarah, I will always be grateful to your dad for you! Thank you, Jack. Finally free," Katey commented.

Sagal and White have two kids: a daughter, Sarah, and a son, Jackson. Jackson White, born in 1996, followed his father's footsteps as he started his career in music. However, he later went on to do films and began his acting career in 2016 with the short film Confession.

Jackson White is best known for his films SPF-18, Number 2, The Space Between, Ambulance, and Pet Sematary: Bloodlines. He has also been a part of a few TV series, such as SEAL Team, Mrs. Fletcher, and Tell Me Lies. He will now be seen in the movie Swiped, which is slated for 2025.

As Jackson posted an emotional message for his deceased father, tributes came pouring as many started commenting on the actor’s post. At the moment, the family has not revealed more details about his funeral and memorial services.
