Kevin Bacon recently revealed that he once transformed into a regular person, only to realize that “it was not nice.” In a Vanity Fair interview published on July 3, 2024, Kevin Bacon shared how nobody recognized him. He stated:
“Nobody recognized me. People were kind of pushing past me, and not being nice. Nobody said, ‘I love you.’ I had to wait in line to, I don’t know, buy a f*cking coffee or whatever. I was like, This sucks. I want to go back to being famous.”
As soon as the interview went viral on social media, netizens began talking about how he was being “so real” by opening up about his experience. An X user @FilmUpdates added a chunk of the interview on their X account, and one fan reacted by saying:
“He is so real for this!”
“This seems to be a bit of a joke, but i appreciate how cheeky he is in acknowledging that being famous is a privilege with perks… yes it sucks at times, but it’s all about perspective,” another netizen stated.
“Well, it's good to know that's how the other half lives,” an X user wrote.
On the other hand, fans appreciated Kevin Bacon's honesty about experiencing life as a “normal person.” Some even found his statements funny as they wrote:
“Too funny. Famous is probably a lot easier except for the paparazzi and/or obsessive fans,” an internet user wrote.
“At least he's honest,” another X user commented.
“‘Nobody said ‘I love you’ is soooo funnyyyy,” a netizen noted.
