Jennifer Meyer, the jewelry designer and ex-wife of Tobey Maguire of Spider-Man fame, has recently announced that she is engaged to billionaire Geoffrey Ogunlesi.

Meyer was married to Tobey Maguire for 13 years. Tobey and Meyer married in 2007, and in 2016, they had an amicable separation. They officially divorced in 2020 but have remained close, co-parenting their two children: child Ruby, aged 17, and son Otis, aged 15.

Meyer, who is 47 years old, announced her engagement via her Instagram account with a picture posted on September 1, 2024, that showed her and Ogunlesi, 33, posing with her brand new engagement ring. The caption was just written as 'YES!!!' and the post received a response instantly from friends, people, and celebrities.

The photo that went viral, in which Geoffrey, the son of Nigerian-born billionaire Adebayo Ogunlesi, is depicted hugging Jennifer Meyer. The proposal seemed to have occurred during a dinner date with wine bottles stacked on the wall and white roses on the table. Also seen in the scene was a blue box, probably holding the beautiful engagement ring.

The engagement ring has an emerald-shaped diamond surrounded by two trapezoid baguette diamonds on the gold band. Meyer replied to a fan in the comment section, saying,

"It was alllll him! Total surprise."

The divorce of Jennifer Meyer and Tobey Maguire did not affect their friendly relationship, and nowadays, Meyer regards Maguire as her best friend.

In an episode of the podcast called World's First Podcast with Erin Foster in 2022, Meyer explained the dynamics of the relationship after divorce, stating,

"I was able to make a conscious decision about how this breakup was going to go and trust that the universe had my back, had our back as a couple for our children, for all of these things, and really, it’s been the most beautiful experience of my life having this beautiful breakup."

She added, "I would literally do anything in the world for Tobey. He is my brother. I love him to death, and we have the most beautiful family."

Meyer and Geoff Ogunlesi began dating in the summer of 2023 and have been attending events together on the red carpet since November 2023. The couple has since grown close, culminating in this achievement.
