Winona Ryder appeared on the recent episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, posted on September 3, and shared how she and her Dracula co-star Keanu Reeves still call each other husband and wife in their text messages.

While the movie, Dracula, where Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves played husband and wife released in 1992, however, Ryder confessed that they still jokingly refer to each other as husband and wife.

“We do text. we always say who it is, even though it says it on the text," Ryder said.

She then opened up about how she once texted him to wish Reeves on his birthday and said:

“I was like, ‘Happy birthday, my husband!’ I then added my nickname, Noni. He’s like, ‘Hey, wife! Love you! KR, 57.’ On each birthday, he’s like, ‘KR, 57,’ or whatever his age is, and he’s always done that. He’s the best.”

During the podcast interview, Ryder also stated how Reeves is extremely special to her, as she said:

“I would literally do anything though with him. Like he is so special.”

Furthermore, Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves have also appeared together in two more movies after starring in Dracula. The duo reunited for A Scanner Darkly in 2006, after which they were also seen together in Destination Wedding, which was released in 2018.

Claiming how they have never really dated, she opened up to Entertainment Weekly in 2018 and said:

“We actually got married in Dracula. No, I swear to god I think we’re married in real life. In that scene, director Francis Ford Coppola used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So I think we’re married.”

Winona Ryder was accompanied by her Dracula co-star, Keanu Reeves during the interview. As Winona narrated the incident, Reeves exclaimed:

“Oh my gosh, we’re married.”

While Keanu and Winona never dated in real life, the former is known to be dating Alexandra Grant, before which he also dated Jennifer Syme. On the other hand, as per The Independent, Ryder dated Johnny Depp for a brief time in 1990. The actress has also been in a relationship with Matt Damon, and fashion designer Scott Mackinlay Hahn.
