Jennifer Lawrence, a prominent Marvel star and actress, is set to star in Why Don’t You Love Me?, an upcoming A24 production based on the graphic novel by Paul B. Rainey. The film explores a dark science-fiction comedy centered on a married couple, Mark and Claire, who grapple with themes of alcoholism, depression, and missed opportunities. Their relationship fails to meet their emotional needs, leading them to act out in sadistic and depressive ways.

The movie Why Don’t You Love Me? has limited information available and does not yet have a release date as it is still in pre-production. Robert Funke, known for his work on On Becoming a God in Central Florida, will write the screenplay.
Jennifer Lawrence will star in and produce the film through her company Excellent Cadaver, alongside producer Justine Ciarrocchi. The Square Peg production company, owned by Emily Hildner, Ari Aster, and Lars Knudsen, will also be involved in the project.
