Kate Beckinsale claps back at body shamers online, sharing what her body went through, including details of her mysterious stay in the hospital for weeks earlier in March this year.

In an Instagram video she shared on Monday, July 8, the Love & Friendship star can be seen trying to wear a hairnet to complete her pink outfit set and thigh-high boots while saying that it's her clap-back to those who say she's not sharing age-appropriate content. In the caption, she wrote:

"Let's have a toast for the douche bags. Let's have a toast for the ass**les. Let's have a toast for the scumbags."

But when one commenter wrote that she should do some squats because her "ass ran away," Kate Beckinsale was quick to clap back, writing:

"No, actually. I watched my stepfather die quite shockingly, my mother has stage 4 cancer, and I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief, quite quickly."

Detailing her weeks-long stay in the hospital, she further added:

"And then I was in hospital for six weeks because the grief had burned a hole in my esophagus, which made me vomit copious amounts of blood."

The Pearl Harbor actress also noted that she found eating very hard and adding to that, she was working on a movie that was "triggering" for her. She noted:

"[Because] it also involved the theme of the death of my father so I'm not really concerned about what you think of my ass."

The actress ended her comment with some snappy words, telling the Instagram user that she should worry about her own ass, even going as far as suggesting to the person to "shove something up it—like a large pineapple or a brick."

Kate Beckinsale has been fielding critics and body shamers for a while now

It's not the first time Kate Beckinsale has addressed all her critics, bullies, and body shamers online. The English actress has been a hot topic among netizens who keep commenting about her weight or her posting "not age-appropriate content" on social media.

Earlier in May, Beckinsale addressed insidious bullies who kept saying that she's had plastic surgery even after she had said that those rumors were false. She shared a lengthy post detailing the evolution of her face in the past 20 years alongside a side-by-side photo of her 20 years apart. The actress has also mentioned at the time that she's currently "obsessed with surviving loss."

A week after that, she again clapped back to her critics and bullies who kept on negatively commenting on her physical appearance. This time, however, Kate Beckinsale kept it lighthearted, if not sarcastic, with throwback pictures of her Halloween costume where she dressed like an old, wrinkly, bald man in a wheelchair.

In the caption, she addressed her naysayers, saying that she hoped her recent post is "less triggering" and more what they would consider "age appropriate."
