Katherine Schwarzenegger announces birth of third baby with Chris Pratt, reveals name of son

Katherine Schwarzenegger is a new mom again, as she welcomes her baby no. 3 with actor Chris Pratt. The American author and the Guardians of the Galaxy star announced the birth of their baby boy in a joint Instagram post on Monday, November 11, sharing their newborn's birthday and name.

Their caption reads:

"We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our son, Ford Fitzgerald Schwarzenegger Pratt."

The proud mom gave birth to her and Pratt's third baby on Friday, November 8, 2024. She also shared an update about her, her newborn, and the rest of the family in the caption, writing:

"Mama and baby are doing well and Ford's siblings are thrilled by his arrival. We feel so blessed and grateful."

Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt are also parents to daughters: Lyla Maria and Eloise Christina. Pratt also shares his 12-year-old son Jack with his ex-wife, actress Anna Faris.

While rumors have been swirling that Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt are expanding their family since June, the couple refrained from confirming the news. However, during their visit to TODAY on October 17, 2024, for different reasons, they shared the news of their third child.

The Garfield star visited TODAY to promote his new movie The Electric State while Schwarzenegger appeared via a video feed from California during the segment. The American author was reporting about sibling rivalry when she addressed her husband, saying:

"I just hope to not go into labor before you get home."

Elsewhere in the interview, Christ Pratt revealed that they have no idea about the gender of their baby. He said that they both opted to be surprised during the birth but that he's got a hunch, saying:

"I have a feeling. I have an intuition but I won't say it now in case I'm wrong and this child sees this."

As for Katherine Schwarzenegger, she had already teased about the pregnancy two days before she confirmed it on TODAY. On October 15, she shared an adorable picture of her and Pratt's second daughter, Eloise, wearing a pink dress, pink sneakers, and a white baseball cap with "BIG SIS" embroidered on it. The proud mom wrote in the caption:

"Big sis loading."

Katherine Schwarzenegger also teased the impending birth of her and Chris Pratt's son in an Instagram photo dump on October 28. She shared pictures of her two daughters enjoying a pony ride, having a downtime using a Therabody leg compression machine, and a baby crib from Charlie Crane Paris.

As for the new father, Chris Pratt is currently gearing up for the release of his new film The Electric State, in which he stars alongside Millie Bobby Brown, Ke Huy Quan, and Stanley Tucci. The dystopian science fiction is directed by the Russo brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo, who also directed Avengers: Endgame.

The story follows Millie Bobby Brown's orphaned teenage character who goes on a journey across the robot-ravaged America, and joining her is a toy robot and smuggler played by Pratt. The Electric State is coming to Netflix on March 14, 2025.
