Kim Zimmer surprised everyone by disclosing a medical condition during a "Stand Up to Cancer" event on May 16. During the virtual Daytime Stands Up: A Benefit for Stand Up to Cancer - We All Have a Story webcast event, she revealed her breast cancer diagnosis for the first time.
At the event, Zimmer said:
"I was diagnosed with breast cancer on Nov. 6."
Zimmer added that she "would've fallen apart" after getting the news if not for the support of her husband, three children, and friends. The actress also shared that she had undergone a mastectomy and that her last chemotherapy session is scheduled for May 21.
