Marisa Tomei recently shared that watching her co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya "fall in love" and "grow up" was one of her fondest memories while filming Spider-Man movies.

Tomei, who played the character of Aunt May in the MCU movies, joined a list of celebrities at the Fan Expo Canada 2024 in Toronto over the weekend (August 25). During the panel at the event, she was asked about her favorite part of working on Tom Holland's Spider-Man trilogy, to which she replied:

"I think some of the favorite things were really just watching Tom and Zendaya grow up and watching them fall in love."

"Seeing their phenomenal talent" on the set was another favorite memory for Marisa Tomei.

For the unversed, Tom Holland and Zendaya, who starred as Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) and Mary Jane respectively, sparked romance rumors while working together in the Marvel film. They later confirmed their relationship in 2021, and it turned out that Aunt May was in on the behind-the-scenes of their romance.

Meanwhile, fans on social media gushed about Tomei's behind-the-scene tales of Zendaya and Holland's co-stars-to-lovers romance. Some fans said that she "truly is Aunt May." Others appreciated Tomei's support towards her co-stars, both professionally and personally, with some fans mentioning how special it was for her to have the first-person point of view of the actors falling in love on and off the screen.

Marisa Tomei says co-stars Zendaya and Tom Holland carry "enormous star power"

Marisa Tomei had more behind-the-scenes stories about her Spider-Man co-stars and shared her high regard for both the films' leading stars. Talking about working with Tom Holland and Zendaya in the trilogy during the panel, Tomei said:

"They carry enormous, enormous star power, enormous power, and they manage to be real people at the same time and just, they're multitalented."

The Oscar-winning actress also gushed about all the things the star couple can do, adding:

"They can do everything! They sing, they dance, they act, they do stunts, they design fashion. I mean, what are they not doing?"

She described both her co-stars as "incredible people." Elsewhere in the panel interview, Marisa Tomei expressed being in awe while working with both actors in the Spider-Man trilogy. She said that she was "blown away from the get-go." Tomei praised her co-stars' "phenomenal talent," adding that both Tom Holland and Zendaya "are meant for it."

Tomei's character Aunt May died in Spider-Man: No Way Home, so it's unsure if she will return for the highly anticipated fourth movie.
