"Armie Hammer having to go on the record to say he’s not a cannibal is so funny to me," wrote another user on X.
"Honestly, Armie Hammer is doing the best 'apology tour' I’ve ever seen. He’s incredibly articulate, smart and reasonable," read a tweet.

A user also expressed disappointment in Morgan providing a platform for Hammer, while another netizen claimed it was an "insightful" interview. A tweet added,

"Genuinely tired of Piers Morgan giving abusers a platform… from Kevin Spacey describing his ‘alleged’ acts of SA as “pushing the boundaries”, to Fiona Harvey playing victim.. "
"I am impressed with the inciteful & sensitive interview you’ve just had with actor Armie Hammer," shared one fan.
"I waited so long for what happened yesterday. It is such a blessing to see how well Armie is doing, how he is coming back step by step..." added a tweet.

Back in 2021, multiple women accused Hammer of physical abuse, r*pe, and having cannibalistic fantasies.

Armie Hammer's Friday interview with Piers Morgan explored

About three years after the severe allegations against actor Armie Hammer, he appeared in an interview with Piers Morgan. Influencer Paige Lorenze was one of the first women, amongst many women who accused Hammer in 2021. In the latest interview, Hammer addressed Paige's claims of branding his initials on her lower lip.

In the interview, Hammer said,

"I wouldn’t say brand. No. There was a scenario that we talked about beforehand. I would basically take a little, tiny point and just kind of trace the letter ‘A’ — just like the tip of a small knife."

The actor continued that there was no blood as well. He further claimed that it was more in line with couples getting each other's initials as tattoos. Host Piers Morgan added that getting tattooed differed from using a knife on an individual. To this, Armie Hammer replied,

"[It was] less permanent. I guarantee it was such a small thing. I think to some it probably sounds really strange. To some, it probably sounds like a very romantic gesture."

Armie kept denying the allegations of s*xual assault and focused on his stance, claiming that there was "nothing to be gained" from establishing s*xual contact with someone who didn't enjoy it. In the interview with Morgan, Armie further claimed that making his partner feel good acted like a "huge sense of validation" for him.

In the interview, Armie Hammer addressed the reports according to which Robert Downey Jr. paid for his rehab. The actor claimed that while Downey was quite supportive, he never made such payments. Downey or his representatives didn't provide any official comment on the situation, as of now.

At a point in the interview, Hammer got emotional recalling that when the allegations were made, he wasn't even allowed to meet his children, Harper and Ford. The actor then addressed the cannibalism claims and said,

"It's not a question I'd ever thought I'd have to answer."

Shedding light on the allegations made by now 26-year-old influencer Paige Lorenze

Paige Lorenze, who dated Armie Hammer for a few months in 2020, opened up about it to Page Six in 2021. In the exclusive conversation, Paige claimed Hammer had carved his initial on her, and there were bruises and blood as well. The influencer added,

"I didn’t really know what to do or say … As sad as that is, I wanted him to like me and feel like I was down for what he wanted."

She further claimed that the actor expected her to accept and flaunt the bruises. Paige Lorenze also shared in the interview that she would want the actor to "address his demons." She added,

"You can be just as traumatized by consensual s*x. It’s unacceptable that he coerces women into agreeing to let him hurt them."

According to reports, Paige was one of the many women who accused Armie Hammer of sending them graphic messages describing his s*xual fantasies. Over time, while the Death On The Nile actor received backlash from fans after the allegations against him, many extended support to him.
