Meagan Good talks about dating Jonathan Majors during his domestic violence trial

Meagan Good has stuck by her decision to start a relationship with ex-Marvel star Jonathan Majors, amid the latter's assault trial, and despite her friends' concerns about her dating the actor.

During the Tuesday, July 9, 2024, episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna, the Think Like a Man star sat down with co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager to discuss her relationship with Majors. Opening up about the advice she received from friends to wait and see how the trial went before she considers dating the actor, Good said:

"Every friend advised me, but at the end of the day, one thing I know is I can always look at myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit, when I trust God, when I ask God, and when I move to the beat of my own drum."

The actress clarified that while she takes the opinions and advice of those she loves into account "for sure," she also noted the need to live her own life.

Jonathan Majors, who was found guilty of two counts of assault and two counts of harassment in December 2023, was ordered to attend 52 weeks of a domestic violence intervention program.

While the Day Shift actress was tight-lipped about how her relationship with the former Marvel actor started, she opened up to the show co-hosts that they've been each other's support. She said:

"I won't get into how it started, but I will say that the support we've been able to give each other—the pouring into each other, the honest conversations, the love, the respect, just the care, and the thoughtfulness—it's just been really wonderful."

Meagan Good is not the only one feeling good about their relationship, as the former Marvel star also gushed about being in love with Good during a red-carpet appearance at the 7th annual AAFCA Special Achievement Awards.

It was his first red carpet after his assault trial and the couple stunned viewers, with Meagan Good sporting a fitted yellow off-shoulder gown with cutouts on the midriff to show off her abs. Meanwhile, Majors was bundled up in layers underneath his gray coat.

The couple was asked by an Extra correspondent how they were doing, to which Majors answered with a smile, saying:

"In love... We're doing good, thanks for asking."

Meagan Good answered in the affirmative as well, saying that they are "doing great" and that "God's good."
