Actor Blake Lively is currently facing criticism for a viral 2016 interview uploaded on YouTube on August 11. The actress was in the middle of promoting her latest film, It Ends With Us, when a Norwegian journalist, Kjersti Flaa, took aim at Blake Lively for an interview from 2016, in which the Gossip Girl actress was purportedly impolite.

Flaa said she "wanted to quit" her work after interviewing Lively in 2016. The interview was conducted as a part of the promotion for Lively's Woody Allen-directed movie Café Society. During the interview, Parker Posey, Lively's co-star, was also with her, and Blake was reportedly “rude” and “insensitive”.

Meanwhile, once the clip of the interview went viral, it garnered a lot of criticism. Netizens took to the YouTube video’s comment section to express their opinion.

“This is why I'm always saying women may not always be physical, but the psychological bullying is just as painful. Mean girls sometimes never grow up”, wrote one YouTube user.

Many people also took to X to say the same thing.

“They were so proud of themselves , pulling a mean girl session on this poor interviewer, while she is trying to do her job.”, commented an X user.
“Blake Lively is the white Chrissy Teigen. Weird, mean and fake”, another one claimed.
“Blake Lively kept snubbing the interviewer by ignoring her and talking like the interviewer was not in the room. It’s weird and petty-mean behavior”, wrote another X user.

Others also shared a similar sentiment.

“Guys she’s one of Taylor Swifts best friends… of course she lives on a different planet than the rest of us. She just shouldn’t do interviews because she’s so unrelatable and out of touch with the average person so she comes off as a snob.”, said one netizen.
“Never thought i’d start to dislike Blake Lively of all people”, wrote another user.
“I feel so sorry for this interviewer :(”, another one claimed.
“She gives me Ellen vibes just weird and annoying”, another one said.

Journalist Kjersti Flaa of Norway recently posted an interview from 2016 of Blake Lively on her YouTube channel, which has gone extremely viral. Flaa titled the video, ‘The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job.’

Flaa stated in the description of the YouTube video,

"It was the most uncomfortable interview I have ever been in, sitting down with Blake Lively and her co-star Parker Posey for Cafe Society (2016)."

The journalist further said she got off to a bad start with actor Lively and never recovered.

Flaa interviewed Parker Posey and Lively in this four-minute clip. The interview was most likely conducted in July 2016, when the movie Cafe Society was released.

The It Ends With Us actress said she was expecting her second child with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, before the interview.

When Flaa said,

"Congrats on your little bump."

Lively responded,

"Congrats on your little bump," even though Flaa didn't appear to be pregnant.

Posey seemed to try to defuse the situation by flashing her "bump" on the backside. Lively then proceeded to talk about the actor's "lovely lady lumps" while Flaa awaited the start of the interview.

The journalist praised the movie as "visually amazing" and asked if Lively and Posey enjoyed dressing in such outfits. Lively then turned away from Flaa and started talking to Posey, reacting to it and saying,

“Everyone wants to talk about the clothes, but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes.”

Flaa replied that she would, but Blake Lively didn’t appear to notice her. She went on to talk to Posey about their male co-stars' costumes in the movie instead.

After a while, Lively then concluded the conversation with Posey saying:

“It’s not just the women that have the clothes, but I feel like the women get the conversation.”

Once the interview was uploaded on the internet and went viral, A Simple Favour star said nothing about it.
