Actor Armie Hammer has recently opened up about the controversy that shook his life in 2021. He was canceled at that time due to allegations of s*xual assault and "cannibalism" claims.

Hammer discussed the nature of the dispute on January 2, Wednesday's episode of Your Mama's House podcast. He further claimed that he was living in a small apartment while trying to rebuild his career. Hammer admitted being emotionally abusive in his relationships but denied s*xual assault and "cannibalism" claims.

In the same interview with comedians Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky for the podcast, he stated:

“People were my bags of dope with skin on it. Like, having that, having people want to have s*x with me, having s*x with people, doing all that stuff, like, it gave me a sense of power. It gave me a sense of validation.”

Furthermore, talking about the toll the controversy had on him, Hammer said:

“You’re just left standing there n*ked in front of the world, with all your proclivities and kinks being judged. That s*it is tough...”

In 2023, the 38-year-old Call Me By Your Name star was investigated by the LAPD but was not charged with any crime. This came after accusations of r*pe and violent fantasies put a stop to his career.

Armie Hammer also talked about his past relationships and allegations

Armie Hammer continued by explaining how the media frenzy intensified as more stories surfaced. He then recalled:

“The world seemed like it was falling apart, and people were just deeply unhappy with their own lives. Then this salacious story comes out about an actor wanting to murder and eat people. And all of a sudden, everyone’s like, ‘Oh, this is so much more fun to focus on than the fact that I can’t leave my living room’.”

He then admitted to taking advantage of his ex-partners and making them feel used for his own pleasure. Talking about the same, he said:

“What I would do is I would scoop these girls up, take them on a whirlwind month and a half, road trips, trips, whatever… We’re gonna have great s*x. Everything’s gonna be awesome… Then I’m gonna bounce and go do it with someone else and leave this person..”

Armie Hammer also disclosed how these controversies affected his mental and financial health. Speaking of the same, he claimed that at one point, he had to sell his truck because he was unable to pay for the gas. When asked if he was going crazy during the fallout, he acknowledged that he was in full panic mode.

He went on to describe how his developed ego was destroyed, leaving him vulnerable and demonized:

“There would be articles in The Punjabi Times about how I was a cannibal… and in March 2021, I was the fifth most-searched person on Google, and all of it was negative.”

Even though he denied these allegations, he had acknowledged cheating on his now-ex-wife, Elizabeth Chambers. Armie Hammer, who previously talked about his personal experience of being s*xually abused by a preacher when he was 13, disclosed that he has been attending therapy and considering what he did.

He was blacklisted by Hollywood for nearly four years after being accused of r*pe by a woman and allegedly having a violent, cannibalistic attitude toward other women. Nevertheless, this isn’t the first time Armie Hammer talked about his previous struggles.

In an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, the actor, who has previously strongly disputed the claims, was questioned about them. When asked about his alleged cannibalism allegations, he strongly denied them.
