What is the plot development so far in the Incredibles franchise?
The first film of the franchise, titled The Incredibles, introduced the audience to Bob and Helen Parr. The husband-wife duo had superpowers and adopted the aliases of Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl respectively. Mr. Incredible had superhuman strength, while Elastigirl had unending flexibility.
The couple hid their secret identity by pretending to be regular citizens as they lived in the town of Metroville. Their three children, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack were also born with concealed superpowers. Violet could turn invisible, Dash had super speed (true to his name), and baby Jack-Jack could teleport.
However, the family's peaceful life was disrupted after Bob was called for a top-secret mission. His family also got involved in his effort to save the world from destruction.
The second film Incredibles 2 followed up directly after the events of its predecessor. The story saw the Parr family arrested after one of their missions failed. In an attempt to restore their image, Elastigirl went on a publicity campaign, leaving Mr. Incredible to stay at home and look after the family. Meanwhile, a new villain called Screenslaver emerged and the family fought his mind-control abilities.
