Jake Kasdan’s upcoming Christmas-themed movie titled Red One recently released its first trailer. Set to release on November 15, 2024, the film stars Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, and J.K. Simmons, who plays Santa Claus.

Red One sees Santa Claus getting kidnapped, which leads to The Rock's Callum Drift embarking on a search for him alongside Chris Evans' character Jack O'Malley. The two form an unlikely and reluctant duo as they attempt to travel through another realm and rescue Santa Claus.

Meanwhile, the world is also dealing with the looming possibility of there being no Christmas.

The Red One trailer promises a unique combination of action and comedy. It opens with a few introductory scenes of J.K Simmons, who plays the role of a rather different-looking Santa Claus, without the traditional paunch and unkempt beard.

The character ends up getting kidnapped by unknown assailants, leading to Callum, who appears to be a senior member of his security team, embarking on a mission to find him in time. The team also decides to take the help of Chris Evans’ hilarious character, as he is described as the world's "best tracker."

Evans' character is then seen getting kidnapped by Santa’s team, as they attempt to force him to help them in their rescue mission. Jack O’Malley appears reluctant to help and initially mocks the team when he is told that Santa Claus has been kidnapped. However, things take a turn when O’Malley starts to believe that the situation is a bit more serious than he had initially thought.

The trailer then focuses on the journey they take, as Callum Drift explains to O’Malley that they must travel through a dangerous realm to save Santa Claus. There, the narrative seemingly delves into chaos, as the duo goes on several dangerous adventures on their mission.

The Rock's character is forced into playing a slap-fight game with a unique-looking creature, and he is sent flying to the ground with a single hit. O’Malley then tells him that he still looks good, as the trailer finally moves to the poster for the upcoming flick.

The trailer features a range of other familiar faces, including Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Lucy Liu, and Kiernan Shipka.
