Deadpool & Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds recently posted a bunch of pictures with Wesley Snipes on Instagram, calling him the “Marvel Daddy.” In the series of pictures posted by Reynolds, the first picture was a selfie of the two actors, while the rest were from the sets of the recently released Deadpool & Wolverine.

Posting the pictures, Ryan Reynolds appreciated Snipes, as he said:

“There is no Fox Marvel Universe or MCU without Blade first creating a market. He is Marvel Daddy. Please share for a Logan-like send off.”

The pictures posted by Ryan Reynolds reminded the masses of the feud between him and Snipes, which allegedly started about 20 years ago. As per Movie Web, the duo met in 2004, while they were shooting for Blade: Trinity, and allegedly never got along from day one.

The publication mentions that there were allegedly “production and creative differences” between the two which led to a rift between the stars.

However, the two have seemed to settle their differences, as Ryan and Wesley were seen together in the recently released, Deadpool & Wolverine.

Meanwhile, Deadpool & Wolverine premiered on July 22, 2024, in New York, whereas, it was released globally on July 26, 2024. Apart from Ryan Reynolds, the movie also stars Hugh Jackman as Logan, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, and Wesley Snipes as Blade, amongst many others.

“We've actually liked each other the whole time!” - Wesley Snipes statement about Ryan Reynolds revisited

While there have been many rumors of a possible feud between Ryan Reynolds and Wesley Snipes, a lot was clarified when Snipes spoke to Entertainment Weekly last month for the promotion of Deadpool & Wolverine.

During the interview, he claimed that the two have been “playing” for the last two decades, and there has been no feud between the two.

Stating how he got on board for the movie, Wesley stated:

"It was a call started with a text from Ryan Reynolds, and I saw a text that says, you know, 'I want to talk to you.' I was like, 'I hate this guy.' That's a joke. We've been playing this for, like, two decades. We've actually liked each other the whole time!"

He continued:

“Anyway, he called and told me, he said, 'I have this idea.' And he told me what the idea was, and I was like, 'I don't know how the hell you are going to pull that off. It's very unlikely.' And I said, 'Well, if you can make it happen, sure. I'll come and do it.' And he was like, 'Really?' I was like, 'Yeah, why not? Let's see what happens.' I did not think it was possible. I didn't think he would be able to pull it off.”

The alleged feud between Ryan Reynolds and Wesley Snipes started in 2004 during the shoot of Blade: Trinity, as Wesley Snipes was enjoying the success of Blade I and Blade II.

However, Fandom Wire reported that Ryan Reynolds had a tough time on set, as Snipes often criticised his performance. However, nothing of the sort was confirmed by either of the stars.

On the other hand, the history between the two stars was also allegedly briefly mentioned in the movie, Deadpool & Wolverine, as in one scene when Blade meets Deadpool, he says:

“I don’t like you.”

To this, Deadpool responds by saying:

“Never did.”

Furthermore, as Reynolds posted pictures from the sets of Deadpool & Wolverine and wrote a message for Snipes, social media users applauded and started pouring their love for the actors and the recently released movie.
