Ariana Grande's upcoming movie Wicked is set to release in November 2024. The cast further includes Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Jeff Goldblum, and Ethan Slater, to name a few. The Jon M. Chu movie is said to be based on the 1995 novel of the same name by Gregory Maguire.
In an article published in 2022, Variety reported that the movie was a prequel to The Wizard of Oz. The outlet further mentioned that the upcoming movie would be dealing with the entire course of events leading up to Dorothy's arrival in Oz. What caught fans' attention, however, was Slater's entry in the cast. This was because, it was the production of this movie, when he met Ariana Grande, while she was still married to her then-husband Dalton Gomez.
According to Harpers Bazaar, the couple presumably first met in December 2022. In July 2023, an insider report told People that the couple had started dating. Meanwhile, in September of the same year, Ariana had reportedly filed for divorce from Dalton. In October, they Ari and Slater moved in together, as confirmed by the outlet.
