The movie focuses on young Optimus Prime and Megatron as they wish to no longer be lowly bots and make it to the surface of Cybertron and live a bigger life.

The marketing for the trailer of Transformers One caught the eyes of many as it was officially revealed from space, where the trailer was attached to a spacecraft and launched into the sky. After it reached a certain distance of 125,000 feet, the live stream played the footage. The trailer packs in a hilarious tone that will certainly intrigue Transformers fans.

The trailer for Transformers One shows Optimus Prime and Megatron before they receive their iconic names. In the film, they will go by Orion Pax and D-16 and the trailer sees the duo be friends before they turn into sworn enemies in the future. The trailer opens with Orion Pax and D-16 being held for questioning, signifying that they have gotten themselves into some kind of trouble.

We then see the bots meet B-127, who becomes known as Bumblebee in the future, and then Orion talks about just being "lowly worker bots" but wanting to go to the surface and do something bigger with his life. The trailer then takes an action-packed route.

We quickly see the bots be joined by Elita-1, and they fit themselves with jetpacks and sneak onto a cargo train that shoots them up onto the surface of Cybertron. The bots are surprised to see the surface alive and we get to see the other kinds of lifeforms on Cybertron too.

The trailer for Transformers One then sees the bots be worthy enough to receive their powers to transform and utilize them in battle. We get to see B-127 transform into his iconic car look while Orion at the end of the trailer is seen in a blue and red truck look, which has become synonymous with his character. That's where the trailer ends.

The film features an all-star cast led by Chris Hemsworth as Orion Pax, aka Optimus Prime, and Bryan Tyree Henry as D-16, aka Megatron. They will be joined by Keegan-Michael Key as B-17, aka Bumblebee, and Scarlett Johansson as Elita-1. The film also features Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime and Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion.
