"We connected with that when the kids were young" - Adam Sandler reveals his favorite Taylor Swift song

Adam Sandler recently revealed he is a Swiftie during his interview with Billboard, published on Friday, August 30, 2024. When the actor was asked to pick his favorite Taylor Swift song, se seemingly struggled to pick one song. He recalled one of the first tracks his daughters, Sadie, 18, and Sunny, 15, played, stating:

"Everything (my two daughters) throw on I love, but one of the first ones they threw on when they were young was 'The Best Day.' We connected with that when the kids were young."

Sandler's comments come days after his appearance on the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, where he revealed Swift "means so much to our house."

The Best Day is a song from Swift's second studio album, Fearless (2008). The superstar singer has dedicated the song to her family. In 2009, she released a music video featuring home footage she edited as a part of the Mother's Day promotion.

Talking to Billboard, Adam Sandler, who is married to Jackie Sandler, revealed that his family has a tradition of listening to the singer's album the day it comes out.

"Every album, we listen the first day it comes out. There's not a song they don't know every word to."

During his appearance on Taylor Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce's podcast on August 28, the latter brought up the time Sandler took his daughters to the singer's Eras Tour show in Los Angeles.

At the time, Adam Sandler told the Kelce brothers that "she means so much to our house," adding that his kids have loved listening to her since they were little and know every song. He even explained he and his family were thrilled to hear Swift and Kelce were dating. The Uncut Gems star quipped:

"At first, when you guys first started dating, my God was my family like, 'Yes! Look how good they are together. Look how he's a gentleman, and she's having so much fun with him.' Like, anytime Taylor's laughing with you, my whole f*cking family is, like, high-fiving."

Travis Kelce responded, saying,

"So good, man," before adding, "You got me sweating over here."

Kelce is set to make a guest appearance on Sandler's next film, Happy Gilmore 2. The movie is a sequel to the 1996 classic comedy. The Kansas City Chiefs star wore a Happy Gilmore cap at Coachella earlier this year.

During his August 20 appearance on Tonight Show, Adam Sandler confirmed Kelce's cameo, telling host Jimmy Fallon:

"He's gonna come by. He's a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life. What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He's a stud, and he's so funny."
