A defective fire pit caused a patio fire at actor Mark Wahlberg's Las Vegas restaurant Flecha Cantina on November 6, 2024, at around 5:30 pm. The Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) responded to the call about the fire and got it under control. While videos of a raging fire have been shared across social media, the fire was contained to the outdoor patio area, and no injuries were reported.

In a statement, a Flecha Cantina spokesperson said the fire started when a propane fire table malfunctioned. They added that the "fire crew came and put it out right away."

"No damage at all in the interior restaurant. The only damage was the fire pit and the chair next to it. Thankfully no one was injured," the spokesperson said.

A video of the incident, shared on X by user @LasVegasLocally, showed flames and smoke outside the restaurant. By the time fire crews arrived, the restaurant's sprinklers had been activated, and all patrons and staff had evacuated safely.

It is worth noting that the fire at the restaurant occurred the night before Wahlberg was set to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 7, 2024. The restaurant on South Las Vegas Boulevard opened on September 14, 2024.

Mark Wahlberg's Las Vegas venture overcomes fire incident

After the fire at Mark Wahlberg's restaurant was put out and they confirmed that there were no injuries, the CCFD confirmed that the fire was confined to a single propane fire table.

"Crews arrived to find a standalone restaurant with a fire on the patio," they noted in a press release.

They reportedly got the fire under control with assistance from the Las Vegas Fire Department and Town Square security personnel. Additionally, authorities also shut off the propane tanks to prevent further escalation.

The restaurant reopened by 7 pm the same evening after the fire sprinkler system was recharged. Flecha Cantina officials emphasized that operations resumed swiftly with minimal disruption.

The fire occurred one day before Mark was set to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the restaurant. Despite the fire, it is being reported that the event will proceed as scheduled.

Flecha Cantina is a fusion Mexican restaurant. It offers traditional Mexican food with innovative twists. The actor opened his second location in September 2024, following the success of its location in Huntington Beach, California, which opened on June 8, 2024.

Mark Wahlberg's Move to Las Vegas

The actor told people in 2024 that the move allowed his children to pursue their passions, including equestrian sports, basketball, and golf. Wahlberg also highlighted how Las Vegas provides a conducive environment for both his personal and professional life.

Mark Wahlberg has previously expressed a deep connection to his restaurant ventures. In an interview with Fox News Digital, the actor emphasized creating a homely atmosphere for patrons.

"I want them to feel like they're at home, that they are doted on and spoiled," he said.

Mark Wahlberg also mentioned sending undercover guests to ensure the dining experience meets his high standards. The restaurant was also given a blessing by Diocese of Orange Bishop Kevin W. Vann before its opening.

Mark Wahlberg's latest film, Killer's Game, is set to release on November 9, 2024. The actor is also involved in several upcoming projects, including producing new content through his production company, Municipal Entertainment.
