Indonesian actress Jennifer Coppen’s husband, Papa Dali, passed away at the age of 22. Jennifer shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram after his tragic death in an accident on July 28, 2024. Family, relatives, and the Balinese community attended his funeral, where Jennifer, the mother of one, addressed the audience.
Papa Dali, whose real name was Dali Wassink, was an influencer. Local news outlet Social Expat reported that he died in a motorcycle accident on Jalan Sunset Road, Kuta, Bali. The tragic accident took place when Wassink was riding at high speed and his vehicle crashed into a road divider.

He reportedly sustained severe injuries to his chest, ribs, and back. He was transported to the BIMC Hospital in Kuta, Badung, but was declared dead.
Jennifer Coppen pays tribute to Papa Dali on Instagram following his demise

On July 22, 2024, the 23-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a carousel of images that featured Papa Dali and their daughter. While addressing Wassink, she wrote in the caption:
“It hurts, it hurts a lot You are my bestfriend, my other half, my husband You are a great man, you always smile and everyone loves you”
Coppen added that she would give their daughter the life Wassink always wished she would have. Coppen continued:
“I promise to always be there for your mom dad and sister I will never leave their side, if I could have another life in another life time I would pick you over and over again to be my husband. So please promise me that you will wait for me and pick me up when it is my time to go.”
The Romeo & Juminten actress also responded to comments on Instagram stating that he got into an accident while driving under the influence of alcohol. Jennifer Coppen clarified that he was not inebriated while riding. She also stated that he had messaged her that he was on the way back home before his tragic demise.
During his funeral on July 21, 2024, Jennifer Coppen wore a light blue shirt (which she claimed was her husband’s favorite color) and said a few words to the large crowd that appeared at the event. Coppen said:
“I also want to tell you a little about how Papa Dali really looks like a sleeping person. Papa Dali doesn’t have a worried face, he doesn’t have a sad face. When Papa Dali had an accident, he immediately lost consciousness on the spot. So I want you to know that Papa Dali didn’t feel sick. Papa Dali also left calmly accompanied by all his family.”
