Dakota Johnson talked about meeting Justin Timberlake on set and how it was working with him. In a video interview with Vanity Fair published on Friday, September 27, Johnson rewatched some of her previous films, including The Social Network, where she worked with Timberlake.

When asked if she had "preconceived ideas" about sharing camera time with him, Johnson replied:

"Are you kidding? I was just like 19 and straddling Justin Timberlake and like whipping him in the face with my hair. [I] 100% had preconceived notions but he was lovely and kind and really, you know, welcoming for a person that was just a stranger."

Dakota Johnson played Amelia Ritter, aka Amy, in The Social Network. She was a young Stanford student who hooked up with Sean Parker, played by Justin Timberlake, one night after meeting him at the bar. The 2010 film was a dramatic retelling of Mark Zuckerberg founding Facebook, while Parker was the man who founded Napster.

Dakota Johnson recalls working on The Social Network and how it led to an embarrassing run-in with Barack Obama

Elsewhere in the interview, Dakota Johnson opened up about working on The Social Network and how many times she shot the scene with Justin Timberlake. The Daddio actress recalled while watching the scene:

"I think that because this was The Social Network and David Fincher, we did this so many times that I'm like, I'm in it. I know it, I know all the lines. It's still there. We did it so many times that I feel like I remember this and it's happening now. Maybe I was traumatized."

It wasn't the first time Johnson reminisced about her short scene in the movie. In January 18, 2022, the actress and her co-star Andrew Garfield reunited after working on the 2010 film during a Vanity Fair interview. For the unversed, Garfield portrayed Eduardo Saverin in The Social Network.

Dakota Johnson mentioned how she was only in the movie for "four seconds." However, she said that she still managed to soak up the vibes on set by hanging out with the rest of the cast after filming.

The actress recalled how she would spend days just watching everyone else on set after she was done filming her scene. Johnson remembered the other cast members having lunch, and Garfield asking her "loads of questions."

In her recent video interview, Dakota Johnson also shared an embarrassing moment when she and her mother, Melanie Griffith, met Barack Obama. She recalled her mom introducing her to the former POTUS, saying that Johnson recently did a movie—The Social Network and she was "in her underwear." Johnson said that she "died inside" during that whole interaction.

During the Vanity Fair interview, she also rewatched scenes from some of the most notable projects of her career, including The Lost Daughter, Suspiria, The Peanut Butter Falcon, and more.
