Recently, a viral video of actor Michael Ealy hugging actress and model Meagan Good emerged online. It showed the former picking up the latter off the ground and giving her a quick swing, while her boyfriend and actor Jonathan Majors stood by. The incident happened on Wednesday, July 10, at the Los Angeles PowerPlayers Mix & Mingle Event.

The video which has now garnered severe traction online also revealed that Michael Ealy seemingly failed to acknowledge Jonathan Majors’ presence, and moved on to greet rapper D Smoke and his wife, Angelina Sherie. Later, they all posed for a group photo.

Since the footage arose online, the internet has been having varied reactions with many pointing out that Michael Ealy ignored Majors while lifting and hugging his girlfriend, calling it daring.

For instance, Instagram user @datdollbrit commented on The Shade Room’s repost of the video by writing:

Meagan Good clears the air about her hug with Michael Ealy

Since the video of Michael Ealy hugging Meagan Good and seemingly ignoring her boyfriend Jonathan Majors became viral, the Shazam! actress has come forward to clear the air.

She took to the comments of The Shade Room’s Instagram post and clarified that Ealy shared a “big brother hug” with her after exchanging one with Majors.

“So we’re just gonna edit out the first part of the video where Jonathan and Michael exchange a big hug first and then speak life over each other - “before” he gives me a big brother hug?” she wrote.

The 42-year-old further continued by writing:

“Lol smh super unfortunate how people don’t have anything better to do than project on others and intentionally perpetuate negative misguided commentary on life snippets they have no real context to.”

Notably, Meagan, who is currently promoting her latest movie Divorce In the Black, has previously shared the screen with Ealy in the 2019 psychological thriller The Intruder, where they played the role of a couple, Annie and Scott Russell.
