Which role earned Jared Leto an Oscar? Actor reveals he found the lost statuette 

Jared Leto’s recent post on Instagram grabbed many eyeballs as he revealed that he found his missing Oscar Award. Apart from his selfies with the prestigious award, Jared Leto also showed pictures of a Christmas tree, some artwork, and much more.

He captioned the post:

“Found my Oscar, and some other pics.”

Jared Leto won his first Oscar in 2014 for his role as Rayon, an HIV-positive trans woman, in the 2013 film Dallas Buyers Club. He won in the Best Supporting Actor category. The film also starred Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Denis O’Hare, Steve Zahn, and Griffin Dunne.

At the moment, more details about where and how the actor found the missing award have not been revealed, however, Jared Leto has been extremely vocal about losing the statuette, as he even spoke about it in a 2021 interview with James Corden.

While Jared Leto is now celebrating the fact that he finally found his lost Oscar Award, however, the actor once revealed in a 2021 interview with James Corden how he lost it during moving, and how he searched for it multiple times.

At the time, Jared said—

"I found out that it's been missing for, like, three years, and I didn't know that. I don't think anyone wanted to tell me. I moved houses in L.A., and when we moved, it somehow magically disappeared. It could be somewhere, but everyone's searched for it, high and low, but I hope it's in good hands wherever it is.”

He continued:

“But, we haven't seen it for quite some time. It's not the sort of thing someone accidentally throws in the trash. I hope someone is caring for it!"

Jared Leto has won many awards for his role in Dallas Buyers Club, including the African-American Film Critics Award, Golden Globe Awards, Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, and several others. Although his Oscar in 2014 is his only Academy Award, Leto has received numerous other nominations and awards, such as the Hollywood Film Awards, Gotham Awards, MTV Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Awards.

On the other hand, apart from Dallas Buyers Club, Jared Leto is also known for many other movies like Black and White, Fight Club, Sunset Trip, Lord of War, Lonely Hearts, 2036: Nexus Dawn, The Outsider, The Little Things, and even Haunted Mansion. The actor will now be seen in Tron: Ares, releasing sometime in the next year.
