Actress Anna Faris, best known for her work in the Scary Movie franchise, recently discussed her conditions to reprise the role. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE on Friday, July 19, 2024, the 47-year-old, who is currently promoting her new film My Spy: The Eternal City, expressed her desire to return to the series if her co-star, Regina Hall, would also come back.

Talking about her conditions for a potential return, Faris stated:

"I would love to work with Regina again. I just love her so much...We would make each other giggle all day long. Regina Hall would be my answer. And money. But mostly all Regina!"

Scary Movie is a series of comedy-horror films that parody the plots of hit films such as Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Signs, The Ring, and The Exorcist. Anna Faris, who played Cindy Campbell, appeared in the first four installments of the franchise, while Hall portrayed Cindy's best friend, Brenda Meeks.

Hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, Anna Faris was encouraged by her parents to pursue acting. At the age of nine, she made her on-stage debut in Arthur Miller's play Danger: Memory!. Her other early theater credits include roles in To Kill a Mockingbird, Rain, and Some Fish.

Faris' breakout role came in the 2000 film Scary Movie. In an interview with PEOPLE, the actress mentioned that working on the franchise honed her comedy skills. She said:

"I love that franchise. It was like my bootcamp, my beginnings."

She further added:

"If there is a high school comparison for my growth experience, those four movies played an important role in my life in terms of teaching me how to use props, teaching me how to fall, how to get hit in the head — how to hold Chiclets in my mouth and then spit them out with blood at a convenient time for the camera."

Since then, the actress has starred in hit comedies like The Hot Chick, Smiley Face, The House Bunny, and Mom.

Although Anna Faris and Regina Hall did not appear in Scary Movie 5, a sixth film is currently in the works. The untitled project is produced by Neal Moritz (Fast & Furious films) and financed by Miramax. A cast list has not been confirmed as yet, but according to an article by the Hollywood Reporter, it is scheduled for release in 2025.

Additionally, Hall, too, expressed her interest in returning to their iconic roles in a 2022 interview with ET. She told the publication she would love to see where the characters are now. She added, "I don't think it's any place amazing, but I think it'd be fun to see."

My Spy: The Eternal City is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
