More than a year after Danny Masterson was convicted in a r*pe case, his legal team has found itself in a plight for allegedly contacting the jurors without their consent. As per The Patch, Judge Charlaine Olmedo allegedly stated that many jurors reported that attorneys from Danny Masterson’s legal team had contacted their homes and workspaces.

On Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo called out the names of two attorneys of Danny’s legal team, Eric Multhaup and Clifford Gardner, and stated that they could face an investigation. For this, they have been referred to the State Bar of California for Investigation.

With the attorneys, a private investigator Lynda Larsen was also referred to the authorities for potential investigations.

The judge also gave the reason for the same, stating that the referral is due to the the fact that the court has “limited” ways of dealing with the situation, as it is “not an investigatory body.” The judge also stated on Tuesday that how the defense team of the disgraced actor got the personal information of the jurors “is a mystery to the court.”

Eric Multhaup was asked the same question during the hearing, and he responded to it by stating that he got the information about the jurors “through years of experience.”

It is worth noting that the news about the investigators possibly facing a potential trial came more than a year after Danny Masterson was sentenced to serve 30 years in prison on the charges of r*ping two women.

Danny Masterson continues to remain in the California State Prison

Danny Masterson, the popular actor best known for portraying Steven Hyde in That 70s Show was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison on the charges of r*ping two women. At the time of his sentence, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo said to Danny Masterson:

“I know that you’re sitting here steadfast in your claims of innocence, and thus no doubt feeling victimized by a justice system that has failed you. But Mr. Masterson, you are not the victim here. Your actions 20 years ago took away another person’s voice, and choice. One way or another you will have to come to terms with your prior actions, and their consequences.”

For the same, Danny Masterson continues to spend his time at the California State Prison and is sentenced to be eligible for parole not before June 2042. It is also worth noting that Masterson was sentenced in May 2023 during a re-trial, as the previous trial was unable to reach a verdict in 2022.

Talking about the current possibility of scrutiny on Danny’s legal team, Eric Multhaup and Clifford Gardner, Olmedo then stated in the court order that she was left “troubled” after she found out about the "unwanted contact at their homes or work by members of the defense team."

At the moment, neither Eric Multhaup nor Clifford Gardner have responded to the judge's ruling. Moreover, the court has yet to share more details about the case.
