Harry Lawtey will be portraying a young Harvey Dent in Todd Phillips' Joker 2 better known as Joker: Folie à Deux. While the previous trailer for the film confirmed the Batman villain's appearance in the film, a recent TV spot gave us the first look at Industry actor Harry Lawtey in the role, and it looks like he will be leading the prosecution on Arthur Fleck as well.
In the new TV spot for Joker 2, fans can see Harry Lawtey reflecting on the acts Arthur Fleck committed in the first film.
"“Arthur Fleck is a monster. He knew exactly what he was doing. His depraved acts of violence led to riots by his followers, and they are still willing to commit acts of violence in his name," said Dent in the TV spot.

Currently, actor Harry Lawtey has been appearing in the BBC Two and HBO series Industry, where young and prospective graduates compete for the top position at a prestigious bank in London. Lawtey can be seen portraying the role of Robert Spearing in the series which also happens to be his breakout role. Alongside that, he also starred in the British series You and Me where he played the role of Ben.
He is also currently filming for Mr Burton where he will be portraying the real-life Welsh actor Richard Burton. Lawtey can be seen next as Harvey Dent in Joker 2 when it comes out in theatres on October 4, 2024.

Joker 2 features the titular Batman villain and also introduces Harley Quinn. With Harry Lawtey portraying a young Harvey Dent, fans can expect to see him take charge of Arthur Fleck's case, but it remains unclear whether he will end up becoming the classic villain from the comics fans know and love.
In the comic books, Harvey Dent was a Gotham District Attorney and also an ally of Batman. Taking down the mob made Dent one of the biggest targets of criminals in the city, and life eventually came back to bite him. In a freak crime, half of Dent's face was burned off with acid which left it massively disfigured.
Haunted by the trauma, he became Two-Face and quickly rose to be one of the biggest criminals in Gotham City. The footage does introduce him as an assistant D.A. meaning that this version of the character is still trying to prove himself.
Harvey Dent has been previously portrayed by actors Billy Dee Williams (Batman), Tommy Lee Jones (Batman Forever), and Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight).
What is Joker 2 about?
Joker 2 is an upcoming film directed by Todd Phillips and is a sequel to the 2019 film Joker. The official synopsis for the film reads:
“Joker: Folie À Deuxifinds Arthur Fleck institutionalized at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that's always been inside him."
Joker 2 will see Joaquin Phoenix return as Arthur Fleck while also introducing Harley Quinn into the mix who will be portrayed by Lady Gaga. The film also stars Catherine Keener, Zazie Beetz, Steve Coogan, Blendon Gleeson, and more.
