On Monday, July 8, Italian-American actress, model, and podcaster Julia Fox shared a TikTok video seemingly declaring herself as a lesbian. She stitched a different clip to that of her own. In the original footage, the user stated:
“I love [it] when I see a lesbian with their boyfriend. It’s like ‘Ahh, you hate that man. You literally hate him.’”
Julia Fox’s post included the above reel and then quickly shifted to her own, where she quipped:
“Hey, that was me. I was that lesbian. So sorry, boys. Won’t happen again.”
In the wake of the 34-year-old actress seemingly coming out as a lesbian, it is noteworthy that she was previously married to a man named Peter Artemiev, with whom she shares a child.
During a 2022 appearance on Ziwe, Julia Fox previously hinted that she was a lesbian. Back then, she had stated:
“Like, maybe my ex-boyfriends weren’t wrong when they were calling me a lesbian and complaining that I never wanted to have s*x with them.”
Exploring all relationships of Julia Fox
Julia Fox secretly tied the knot with Brooklyn-based private pilot Peter Artemiev in Las Vegas in November 2018. However, two years later, they got divorced but maintained an on-and-off rapport as they were expecting a kid.
The pair welcomed their only child, son Valentino, in January 2021. A few months later, Julia alleged in an Instagram post that Peter was an absentee parent and even referred to him as a “deadbeat dad.”
“This man left me with a 5-month-old and a dog and a home and ALL THE BILLS. It’s wrong!!! It’s not fair. He 100 percent intentionally got me pregnant, It’s a blessing. I’m happy about it. I would not change it,” she added.
In response, Artemiev told Page Six exclusively that he was “saddened” to learn of the “false statements” made by his “co-parent,” who he claimed was “clearly struggling.
“Out of respect for her privacy and to protect our child, I will not comment further,” he added.
Later, in January 2022, during an interview with The Cut, Fox admitted that she regretted making the post and explained that all she wanted was to make her former husband a better father but went about it the “wrong way.”
The Uncut Gems actress reportedly had a brief romance with Canadian rapper Drake in 2020, following her divorce. During a February 2022 episode of her podcast Forbidden Fruits with co-host Niki Takesh, she, however, denied that they were involved.
“Like, I wouldn’t say that we were dating. [Drake is] a great guy and a gentleman and that was it. Nothing really happened. We were just, like, friends hanging out,” she claimed.
In January 2022, Julia Fox began dating rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, and businessman Kanye West, which lasted for two months. During an interview with The View, she shared how Ye asked her out a day after they met for the first time in New York City.
“I told him, ‘Well, can we just wait and see how this goes? Let’s say a couple [of] weeks to make it a big announcement.’ I needed to mentally prepare for something like that,” she mentioned.
She further added how she wanted the relationship to work and ventured into it with “good intentions,” but was quick to realize that they were in “different places.”
In her October 2023 memoir, Down The Drain, Julia Fox detailed her relationship with Kanye. She alleged that he offered to get her cosmetic surgeries, and accused her of being a former addict. Fox also claimed that they did not have a s*x life during their brief romance and that Ye asked her to sign an NDA after their split, which she reportedly refused.
Earlier this year in February, Fox performed her debut song, which shares the same name as the title of her 2023 memoir, at the Boiler Room.
