Wesley Snipes now holds two Guinness World Records after his cameo as Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine. The actor, who first played Blade 25 years and 340 days ago, holds the record for the "longest career as a live-action Marvel character" beating Hugh Jackman who reprised his role as Wolverine after his first outing as the adamantium-clawed superhero in the 2000 flick X-Men.

Wesley Snipes also took home a second Guinness record for his cameo
Wesley Snipes also holds the record for “the longest gap between character appearances in Marvel films." His cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine came 19 years and 231 days after he last portrayed the character in Blade: Trinty in 2004.
This title was previously held by Alfred Molina, who reprised his role as Doctor Octopus in 2021's Spiderman: No Way Home, 17 years after he last played the villain in Sam Raimi's 2004 movie Spider-Man 2.
Snipes played the titular character Blade/Eric Brooks in 1998's Blade, 2002's Blade II and 2004's Blade: Trinity. The movies follow Blade's journey of vengeance as a vampire hunter against the creatures who killed his mother.
In 2019, Marvel Studio announced a Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali at the San Diego Comic-Con. The movie is reportedly slated for release on November 7, 2025.
Wesley Snipes is not the only actor who reprised his superhero role in Deadpool & Wolverine, which came out on July 26, 2024. Hugh Jackman returned as Wolverine for the first time since the 2017 movie Logan.
Other reprisals in the movie include Chris Evans as Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch, Dafne Keen as X-23, and Jennifer Garner as Elektra.
Channing Tatum also made a surprise appearance as Gambit and Henry Cavill played a Wolverine variant.
