Zoë Kravitz, the American actress, was excited to see her fiance Channing Tatum as a bad guy in their film Blink Twice. In this film, Tatum takes on the role of Slater King, a tech billionaire facing backlash after being accused of wrongdoing. This marked a significant departure from his previous roles, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

Kravitz, who not only directed the film but also co-wrote it, expressed her admiration for Tatum's performance in an Interview with PEOPLE.

“It was awesome because he was doing such a good job,” she told PEOPLE. “As an actor, I'm like, ‘This is delicious stuff that he's never gotten a chance to do.’”
“And also, he's doing this part because he's an ally. He wants to tell this story,” Kravitz added. “It’s the ultimate support to look horrible so that he can serve the story.”

Zoë Kravitz hopes for future collaborations with Tatum

The personal and professional relationship between Zoë Kravitz and Tatum has evolved significantly. They met while working on Blink Twice in 2022 and became romantically involved during the filming process. Their engagement followed, solidifying their bond both on and off-screen.

Zoë Kravitz hopes this collaboration will pave the way for future joint projects.

“I hope so. I mean, I think that art is our love language. I think it's what we love, and we love talking about it, and experiencing it, and supporting each other,” she said.

Zoë Kravitz found directing her first feature film to be a daunting task. During the process, she stated that she experienced some level of self-doubt.

“After the first day of filming, I was just like, ‘Oh, my God.' I don't know what I've gotten myself into. And then the edit process was very long, and the movie did not work, for a very long time,” she added.
“It was like this cycle,” she said. “There'd be good days, and bad days, and he just kind of had to be like, ‘Which version of Zoë Kravitz is walking into the house today? Is she excited, or is she a puddle?’”

Channing Tatum discussed the distinct challenges and benefits of collaborating closely on a challenging task with your partner. He talked about the tough experience of working on Blink Twice in a prior interview with PEOPLE, calling it one of the most difficult movies he had ever worked on.

"Go find the hardest possible creative project with your partner if you are thinking about getting married or having children," he said.
“But when you can look across the room or the set and know that you have the best person that is next to you trying to solve problems, and you're really looking to them for answers just as equally as trying to solve them yourself, that is unbelievable,” he added.

The release of Blink Twice is scheduled for Friday, August 23. Zoë Kravitz will star in and produce the upcoming film The Doorman, while Channing Tatum is set to star in the highly anticipated Magic Mike’s Last Dance, the third installment in the popular Magic Mike franchise.
