The villainous plot behind the death of Ludo
Léo and Mélanie's probe points to a planned assassination of environmental activist Sima Scott on the direction of the fossil fuel companies. Frederic Valence, Sima's director of communications, was bribed to arrange the assassination of the activist.
As per the assassination plan, Sima would be killed in a blast caused by her electric car, which would be rigged with a time bomb.
Cassati, a local gangster, and Kim, a sharp assassin who is in cahoots with big oil companies, are tasked with executing the plan. It's revealed that Ludo had discovered the plot, and he was then murdered by Kim.
The final confrontation and the delivery of justice
In the climax, Léo and Mélanie, now warmed up to each other, start cooperating in trying to bring the villains to their knees. Their investigation leads them to Cassati's villa, which ends in a shootout where Cassati and his men die. Then they rush to the eco-summit to prevent an assassination of Sima.
The duo tries everything in their power to save the day, but things spiral out of control when Kim kidnaps Mélanie, which leads to an action-packed rescue mission in a yacht.
Thanks to the help of her tech-savvy friend Bat, Léo frees Mélanie, who kills Kim. Fortunately, Mélanie gets Kim's confession on the yacht's CCTV camera, where Kim admits to killing Ludo and reveals Sima's murder plan.
This confession is used to arrest Frederic and unravel the conspiracy to murder Ludo.
Nice Girls concludes with Léo and Mélanie at the funeral of Ludo, overwhelmed, lined up with other colleagues in mourning.
The sentence not only concluded Ludo's case but also pointed at further actions made by the dynamic duo. The journey of Léo and Mélanie proves that justice can eventually be obtained by perseverance and cohesion.
