Nobody 2: All we know so far

Nobody 2 is a sequel to the 2021 film Nobody, written by Derek Kolstad and helmed by director Ilya Naishuller. The action-packed film starred Bob Odenkirk, Aleksey Serebryakob, Connie Nielsen, and Christopher Lloyd, among others.

All the success set the stage for its upcoming sequel, Nobody 2, which, as reported by Collider, will start filming soon. While filming is expected to start in August, a release date has not been confirmed yet. The sequel may not be directed by Ilya Naishuller, as the group is reportedly looking for a new director who can make this action movie unique and stand out.

Bob Odenkirk will reprise his role as Hutch in the upcoming film. Connie Nielsen, who played Becca Mansell, will once again star alongside Bob. Who stars in Nobody 2?

1) Bob Odenkirk as Hutch Mansell

The protagonist of the first movie is Hutch Mansell, portrayed by Bob Odenkirk. In the follow-up, he will play the same role. Hutch Mansell is an ordinary man who has experienced a lot of violence in the past. Thieves break into his house, following which he confronts a Russian mafia leader.

Soon, Hutch becomes someone filled with resentment and hatred. He sets out on a hunt to find the burglars and neutralize the threat to protect his family and himself from impending violence. Bob Odenkirk is famous for his role as Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad (2008-2013) and Better Call Saul (2015-2022).

Connie Nielsen will also reprise her role as Hutch’s wife, Becca Mansell, in the upcoming sequel. No other information related to her character in the second film has been revealed to date. The 58-year-old Danish actress has previously starred in movies like Wonder Woman (2017), The Devil’s Advocate (1997), and Gladiator (2000), among many others.

What is the film Nobody about?

The plot of the film Nobody revolves around Hutch Mansell, whose life changes after a few thieves break into his house. This incident causes a drastic shift in his character, which coincidentally leads him into a dangerous war with the Russian mafia.

The official synopsis of the film reads:

" Bob Odenkirk stars as Hutch Mansell, an underestimated and overlooked dad and husband, taking life's indignities on the chin and never pushing back. A nobody. When the film was released in 2021, Bob Odenkirk, the protagonist of the film, spoke with several media houses and shared his thoughts about the film and his character. He even revealed that the movie is somewhat inspired by David Leitch's 2017 film Atomic Blonde. He said:

"I thought a lot about Atomic Blonde actually and Charlize was so amazing in that movie. Our movie has a specific kind of character DNA. I think with that film in that, you know, she played an action hero who was amazingly skilled but also felt the pain when she got hurt. That great sequence in the middle where she's fighting the guy in the apartment...."
