Based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name, Salem’s Lot is a supernatural horror film revolving around the character of Ben Mears. Mears, portrayed by Lewis Pullman, returns to his childhood hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot, intent on finding inspiration for his next book.
As he returns to his home, long after the death of his parents, he discovers a terrifying secret about the city. Jerusalem’s Lot has been taken over by vampire Kurt Barlow, who wishes to convert the city into one that is overrun by vampires. The movie, which was released earlier on October 3, 2024, has the following official synopsis:
“An author returns to his hometown of Jerusalem's Lot in search of inspiration for his next book, only to discover that the townspeople are being attacked by a bloodthirsty vampire.”

Makenzie Leigh is the female lead in Salem’s Lot. The actress joined the industry as a child artist and has since been a part of some major hits. She played the role of Liza in the Gotham TV series, and has also been a part of series such as The Slap and The Code.
Mackenzie Leigh has been seen in the current movie as Susan Norton, Ben’s childhood friend who emerges as his love interest. However, he is forced to kill her in the end, after the character is turned into a vampire by Kurt Barlow.
3) Jordan Preston Carter as Mark Petrie
Jordan Preston Carter plays the third most important role in Salem’s Lot. At only 16, the actor has been seen in movies such as Shaft and DMZ. He played the role of Gabe in the Ms. Marvel series, and has a number of other minor roles in major projects.
In Salem’s Lot, he plays the role of Mark, who develops a close bond with Ben Mears. Ben sees a bit of himself in the character and feels a duty to protect him from everything wrong in the small town.
