The claw, from the Boots Marine Biology Lab in Galveston, Texas, sweeps up all of Bikini Bottom, sucking up very prominent characters such as Patrick Star, Squidward, and even Mr. Krabs. Since Sandy was quick enough, she managed to save SpongeBob from being taken away in the process.

How the mystery was drawn out

Sandy and SpongeBob follow the claw to decipher the mystery of the abduction and find that it comes from the Boots Marine Biology Lab. The lab is part of an amusement park now, dealing with something by the name of "Sea Pals."

It seems that Sue Nahmee, B.O.O.T.S. Marine Technology Lab's CEO, is capturing sea creatures from Bikini Bottom to be turned into robotized, animatronic pets for the park. Sandy devises a plan with her former colleagues, along with SpongeBob's help, to stop Sue and rescue their friends.
